Our flatmate is moving out to live with her boyfriend and we're looking for a new person to join us!
Who's we? Julian is from Canada and made his way to Berlin two years ago. Aurélien, originally from France, has been here for about 8 years (practically German by now). We've been living together since 2018 in this beautiful and fully renovated top floor flat (Dachgeschoss) on Sonnenallee. We both work and are both quite busy with life but still find time to chill at home together over food or a beer. Obviously, with this whole Covid-19 craze, we do spend much more time at home than we usually would...
The flat itself is pretty massive (135 square meters) and very bright - sunrise is pretty amazing! We have a 75 square meters living-room and two terraces: one on Sonnenallee, one on the courtyard. It's basically the trade-off for a rather small bedroom for Berlin standards (we're all in the same boat, don't worry). The room itself is 13 square meters and although there is a pole, you can fit a double bed on both sides.
We are in the middle of Neukölln on Sonnenallee, between Weichsel- and Fuldastr. The close-by grocery options are endless and fit all your needs: Netto, Neukölln Arkaden, Bio Company, Turkish and Lebanese food shops. Restaurants and bars around are all plenty. The canal is five minutes away, Tempelhof is not far etc.
We are 3 minutes away from the U7 Rathaus Neukölln, the M41 bus stop is 50 meters away and takes you to Hermannplatz in a few minutes as well.
We are pretty chilled, we talk and laugh (loudly) a lot. Both of us have a tendency to cook a lot more than necessary and end up sharing leftovers.
The common areas being so big, we'd like to have a flatmate that's social and doesn't just want to lock himself/herself in his/her room. Not to say that we need to spend every second all together but it'd be nice to live together and not just live in the same place! :)
Just write us (ideally an email or a text, I usually don't have time to answer call at work) and tell us a bit about yourself, we'll be happy to talk to you, get to know you and have a beer with you on the balcony! Looking forward to meeting you.
