Thanks for your interest in my flat which I want to share with 1 person (or 1 adult with a child). Whether you are a professional (which may suit best) or a student - you are welcome to have a look at my flat and see if you like it.
If you are interested, just drop me a message or simply call me at the phone number provided (in either Deutsch or English).
Your room would be the largest room of the flat: 22 sqm (room #2). The room is facing South, so it is a very bright room. Living room and kitchen are also facing South. The shared living room has a balcony.
The free room is equipped with a bed (1.40m wide), a huge wardrobe with mirrors, a desk, a chair, shelves and a sofa.
The bathroom is very spacious and has a separate toilet, a bathtub and even two washbasins, so the two of us would each have their own basin.
The flat is equipped with high-speed DSL-Internet via WIFI, a WIFI printer, a dishwascher and a washing machine which you can all use free of charge.
Stay as long as you want - from a couple of weeks to long term! As this is a furnished flat, the notice period is only 2 weeks; thus, you can try the flat for a couple of weeks or simply take accommodation here until you find a place on your own. But who knows, you may eventually like sharing the flat more than expected; then you would be welcome to stay long term.
As an official tenant of the flat, you will be able to register your Berlin residancy with the authorities (often called "Anmeldung"); my landlord would give you the corresponding document ("Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung").
We would share a flat of 107 sqm located on the fourth floor of a nice house with high ceilings and very friendly inhabitants (mostly families). The street belongs to the Helmholtz-Kiez which is one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods of Berlin.
The house is conveniently located close to the S-Bahn Station ‘Schönhauser Allee’, so you have easy access to the Ringbahn (S-Bahn S41 & S42), the tube (U2) and tram lines M1 & M12. On foot, it is only 3 to 4 minutes to the station. From here you can reach many parts of Berlin fairly quick and easy!
A shopping center is very close by (5min by foot). Several organic food shop are located in the area.
Loads of small shops and restaurants can be found in my street.
Various gyms are nearby, including a female-only gym.
If you are looking for a quiet and tidy place with a very approachable flat mate, this could be the perfect match.
I enjoy meeting my flat mate spontaneously in the kitchen or living room and having a chat about what's going on in the world as well as in our personal lifes. Occasional cookiing together would also be nice. I like open-minded people with cosmopolitan thinking and a sense of sustainable living.
I also like the occasional outing together, when it arises. However, I am not so much into parties and big gatherings at HOME as most of my social life happens outside the flat. I mainly use the apartment to relax and concentrate on various tasks and interests.
Thus, if you prefer a quiet place at which you can equally focus yourself on your job/hobbies or studying, and otherwise relax in a friendly and tidy environment, have a look at my flat!
Of course, you could bring a friend into the flat whenever you like. This would be your right!
But it would simply be the best fit if we both preferred a quiet environment over a very lively one.
Neighbors in the house are very friendly. I like to keep a good relationship with them and their kids.
When I accommodated some refugees from Ukraine here last year, my neighbors supported them a lot, too. They bought food for them or invited them for dinner, so that this became a joint project. If you are an approachable person, you would certainly appreciate the friendly nature of my neighbors.
I am non-smoker and prefer to keep the flat strictly smoking-free. I like it when the shared rooms are kept reasonably clean and I usually leave a room in the condition I would myself like to find it in at least.
I am a native German speaker but would not mind sharing my flat with someone communicating with me in English!
I like speaking English and currently have no one to practice it with (apart from business English in my job).
I want my flat mate to feel comfortable in the shared flat, so you would be welcome from the start to let me know if you are missing something, e.g., some more hooks for your jackets or any special cooking pot... - I will take care of it. I am a bit talented in crafts and would be happy to do something to make you feel home at this place.
The room is rented furnished and so are all shared rooms of the flat. However, there is still room for furniture if you want to bring your own one.
I would also be willing to remove some of the current furniture to make space for your furniture. Only the large closet should not be replaced because it took a lot of effort to put it together.
The design of the living room has not yet been finalized. We can decide together how we want to design it: whether more as a cozy space, more for workouts, more for working or as a children's room (if you have a child).
I love children and children love me. So if have a child and don't mind sharing a flat with a reasonable person, come along and have a look at my place!
In 2022, I shared my flat with several refugees from Ukraine: first, a woman with 2 kids; later, with 3 adults. Even this really worked out well in this huge flat; but of course, it was not a long-term solution and all of them later found flats on their own. I'm still in close contact with these new friends!
If you need any references, please don't hesitate to ask me. I'll be happy to provide contact details of my previous tenants to you.
See you soon!
