If you're looking for an great room, in a cool, bright, sunny flat overlooking the kleiner tiergarten park, just steps away from the U-bahn, then look no further!
I'm Joe, and unfortunately I'm moving back home to the US in January, so my room in this awesome apartment is opening up. We live in an alt-bau flat in the heart of Moabit, Berlin's most up and coming district ;) There are 3 roommates, Martin, Simone, and myself, and were all early-30's working professionals, so we're looking for someone who is about the same. The flat has a very large gallery style kitchen that opens up to a large living room, and the doors to your room open into this living room. We also have 2 bathrooms in the flat, so there's no stress in the mornings when everyone is getting ready. There's also a large balcony in the front of the apartment where you can sit and watch all the interesting stuff that happens in the park across the street.
Your room is in the corner of the building with large windows on two walls. There is some nice decorative work around the ceiling, a fireplace (which doesn't work), and a large bed built into the corner of the room. Much of the furniture in the apartment was build by the previous tenants who have all since moved out, but we're continuing the WG in their spirit. You'll be the 3rd generation tenant to live in the apartment, and shall inherit (and add to if you like), the furnishings of the flat.
The building is right on Turmstrasse, and the U9 can be reached on foot in about a minute. You can also walk to the S-Bahn in about 10 minutes. And the TXL bus basically stops on our front door. The Spree is an easy walking distance, tiergarten is nearby, and there are a ton of food options, and an awesome, giant Edeka down the street for your shopping convenience. We also have a view of the Siegessäule from the kitchen, and the TV Tower is visible from your bedroom.
Normal roommate situation, we're all very nice and get along well. We see each other in the evenings and on weekends and occasionally cook/eat together, and have small gatherings of friends over. We generally don't get in each other's way too much.
I'm moving out on the 13th of January, so you're welcome to move in anytime after that. Ideally, we want someone who can move in right away, and who can go on contract and who will stay for a longer period of time. You'll have to pay a deposit, as well as for the bed that's built into the room (sorry). Other than that, we look forward to hearing from you all.
