We are looking for a new long-term roommate to move into our 5-person WG in Wedding! It is a well-lit, furnished, 21sqm room equipped with a desk, wardrobe, chair, double-bed, bookshelf, and drawers available in our 5-person WG starting from January 2020. The apartment has two bathrooms, and one person has his own en-suite kitchen so the four of us are sharing the main kitchen. It is on the 5th floor with an elevator. On top, the room comes with a cozy balcony facing the inner-yard and two wide windows, which guarantee the best lighting conditions.
The flat is a minute away from the U-bahn Osloerstr., where you will find the U8 and U9. If you like the tram, M13, 12, and 50 are at your disposal. Bus 128 is around the corner and gets you to Tegel Airport in a jiffy! If airplanes are not your thing, the Hauptbahnhof is less than 20 minutes away by public transit.
Kaufland, Lidl, Rewe, and a bunch of ethnic supermarkets are within 5 minutes by walk, and a nice fruit and vegetable greengrocer downstairs with outrageously cheap prices and amazingly tasty greens. Go a little further and you will find almost every other type of supermarket. We also have our favorite local falafel places, bars, and pizzerias in the neighborhood to make the most of the scene in Wedding. If that was not enough, the Wedding bürgeramt is located literally in front of our building. Very much convenient to get your Anmeldung paperwork sorted out.
If you're an artsy, 10 mins away from home you'll find the notorious Dracula's castle-like Wedding courthouse as well as the vibrant Pankstrasse's graffiti.
You will be living with Anton (19), Clara (26), Young-Jay (26) and Paxia (21). We are an international WG with different personalities but form a fun combination at home. Anton comes from Austria, studies Political Science and is always down for a nice chat and a lager beer. Clara comes from the glorious Barcellona, rocks the fintech scene, loves expanding her network and leads a very active lifestyle; Young-Jay has pretty much lived in every continent and moved to Berlin to discover more about the European culture and further his engineering studies. Paxia is pursuing a Master’s in International Affairs, works part-time as an in-house copywriter, and often leaves banana bread in the oven. Please mention "pax-it-up" in your message to us so we know you've read it all-the-way-through. During the weekends, we like to socialize and go out dancing, and we see the home as a nice safe space to catch up with one another. Each of us have relatively busy lives during the week but are not a purpose-WG.
About you?
We’re looking for someone who is not a mess and can clean up after themselves whether it be the dishes, your stray hairs, or the kitchen counters. As for the fridge, we usually get our own groceries but share the essentials. Communication is key; if something is bothering you, we prefer to handle these issues as soon as possible before it gets passive-aggressive. Not a must, but ideally you speak English and German for bureaucratic purposes.
Please write to us a little bit about yourself, what you're looking for in a flat, and your social media profile if you have any to share.
P.S. No form of intolerance is tolerated! i.e. no homophobia, transphobia, islamophobia, nor racism - conscious individuals preferred.
