Hallo Berlin!

My name is Constantino. I'm a 34-year-old working student, and I’ve been living in Berlin since August 2018 after two years of travelling in Australia. I'm studying a master in Public Policy at Hertie School of Governance, in Mitte. I will graduate in June 2020 but I'm planning to stay here indefinitely.

I'm looking for a long-term place that I can finally call "home".

I've lived in various shared houses for quite some time, so I know what it's like to live with other people. I appreciate clean and tidy common spaces, especially the kitchen and bathroom/toilet. I like keeping my room organized and fresh. I open the windows for ventilation every morning and I do my bed before I head out.

I'm pretty neat and responsible, but also relaxed and easy-going. I don't smoke, but I love a beer and a glass of wine. I ride my bicycle everywhere, and I like playing my acoustic guitar but I am always respectful of other people's spaces, sleeping hours and privacy.

In the kitchen, I keep it pretty simple. Sandwiches, salads and pasta. I’m not a vegetarian, but I’ll eat meat only when I'm out. Overall, I like living sustainably, with no tendency to excesses nor consumerism. I am personally and academically engaged in action against climate change and currently focusing my research on water scarcity and corruption.

I like stand-up comedy, dark humour and face-to-face conversations. I like music played with instruments, movies and auteur cinema. These are my real passions.

I'm independent, autonomous and I already have a life here in Berlin. I'm happy to have occasional dinner together and go out for a drink. But sometimes I just want to be in my room and watch Netflix. I speak Spanish and English. I’m attending German lessons (A2).

It's basically me and my luggage. I'm carrying no furniture, so a furnished room is preferable, but unfurnished is also OK.

Routine-wise, I have a rather busy schedule. Apart from my studies, I have a part-time job at a business school during the week and a mini job in hospitality during the weekends.

I'm happy to provide full documentation including a copy of my passport, residence permit, certificate of matriculation, work contract, bank statements and current anmeldung.
