In pursuit of happiness... In a WG :)

Dear people looking for someone to live with,

My name is Jaime Emilio and I’m everything you’re looking for. Maybe.

Bit of a long post, so TL;DR: 25 y/o Mexican student looking for a WG room in Berlin for the end of September beginning of October. Budget (around) 400 €. Will help you understand the true meaning of friendship and cook vegan tacos for you.

I’m 25 years old (26 by the time we’ll cohabit) which means that I’m already getting too old to find a sugar daddy and too young to rely on my financially successful unborn grandchildren. As such, I am looking for a nice not-so-expensive WG to share with cool and kind people. All the way from Mexico, land of hairless dogs and hairy mustaches, I’ll be moving to Berlin in September.

If you are someone looking for someone looking for someone to live with, I’m probably your best choice for the reasons I will outline below. Welcome to my TED Talk.

- I cook and bake! The pandemic taught me how to do it and now I like it! Whenever I bake, you’ll get a bite. I’m a vegetarian, though, so no bacon pancakes.
- I own and will bring with me different board and video games. Have you heard of Catan? Yeah, we are never gonna play that.
- I’m clean and organized! I can’t live in a messy place, so I’m ready to work together with you to make the place as tidy as possible. I’m not a clean freak though, so cleaning roughly but thoroughly once a week should be enough, no?
- I’m an introverted extrovert! Like Hannah Montana living the best of both worlds. I can be a very friendly social person with whom you’ll have lots of fun (source: bruh, trust me) or someone who enjoys their alone quiet time. Depends on the day and the weather. You can always knock on my door and lay your problems on me though.
- I’m gay! You heard that right. I’m a man who likes other men. You might be asking yourself, “is he the queer avant garde?” And the answer is, “of course not.” However, I’m hopefully still more interesting than your average heterosexual.
- I’m strong! I can do like 15 push ups before being unable to move my arms for a week. #NoPainNoGain
- I sing! Admittedly, this can be a con, but from time to time I like to play music with my ukelele and sing. I promise never to do it after 11pm and I can offer myself to sing happy birthday in Spanish to your mom on her birthday.
- I’m a linguist! I don’t have to explain why this is cool. Probably relevant (but interestingly unrelated), I speak Spanish, English, German and a bit of French. Get me drunk and I’ll speak Japanese.
- I’m also a teacher! I teach English and Spanish as foreign languages. Ever wanted to learn how to flirt in Spanish? Me too!
- I don’t smoke! Tobacco at least. I also don’t drink a lot of alcohol either. I went to catholic school and somehow managed to avoid becoming an addict. Yay!
- I’m just great! Last but not least, we will create lifelong memories that we will cherish once we are living in a retirement home paid by my financially stable then-born grandchildren.
