Looking for a furnished room for at least 9 months starting from September (but starting date flexible)

Hi! My name is Mirko, I'm 29 years old and come from Italy. I studied Physics at university and have recently obtained a PhD degree in Physics from Politecnico di Torino. I am coming to Berlin to take up a new position as a scientific editor at Springer Nature. I am excited about starting this new adventure in Berlin!

I am a very quiet, tidy, respectful, open minded, easy going and friendly person. I have already lived in a shared apartment multiple times in the last 10 years, so I have plenty of experience living with other people under the same roof. While most flatmates I had were Italian, I did share a couple of apartments with international students and professionals coming from countries as diverse as the US, Israel, Spain and China. I have good memories about my past flat sharing experiences, and am still friend with some of my former flatmates. For me sharing an apartment is an opportunity to get to know new people and spending some good time together. This doesn't need to be something complicated, even only sharing a coffee or a dinner can really make a difference! At the same time, I like living in a clean place and am happy to coordinate to keep the apartment a pleasant place.

In my free time I enjoy going for a run or a swim, learning languages, playing volleyball, watching a good movie or listening to a good podcast (lately, I have been often listening to the news podcast "Today in Focus" by "The Guardian", which I highly recommend!).
I don't smoke and don't party at home, for me the apartment is a place to focus and recharge my batteries. I am doubly vaccinated against COVID-19 and am careful about social distancing rules. I speak English and Italian and am learning German, French and Spanish at the moment.

I am looking for a furnished apartment starting from September 11th, but I can consider later starting dates, in which case I would find a temporary place until I can move in. I need accommodation for at least nine months, which is the duration of my job contract, and my budget is up to 700 euros including extra costs and utilities. I will work from home at least twice a week and will start job hunting again in about 6 months, so I am looking for a quiet place where I can focus on these tasks and sleep well at night. My intention would be to stay in Berlin after my contract ends if I have the opportunity.

Unfortunately, I don't have a SCHUFA (jetzt beantragen) record, because I am moving to Germany for the first time (but I can provide alternative documents upon request as needed), and it is very important that the apartment comes with Anmeldung.
