Hello All!
I am leaving my WG in Spandau after living here for a year as I have found my own apartment. As such, my cat Max and I are now looking for someone to take over our lovely room.
The room in question is roughly 25 qm, has over 3 meters high ceilings with Altbau charm, and well-maintained wooden floors. Additionally, it has two windows that face the street. This means the room gets a lot of sun, even during Berlin's dreary winter months; however, it can be loud when they are open. Nevertheless, the windows are new, and I hear almost nothing when the windows are closed. Furthermore, there are metal "rollos" outside the windows.
Please note the room comes unfurnished. All the furniture--as well as the cat in the pictures--will not be staying. Therefore, you can design the space to your heart's content.
Finally, in addition to your room, the WG also has the following communal rooms:
1. A kitchen with a large fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a pantry space.
2. A large new bathroom with a bathtub.
3. A smaller "Abstellkammer" or storage room.
Please see the photos from the move-in for clarification.
The apartment in Spandau has good public transportation and shopping options nearby.
You will find the bus station less than a 5-minute walk from the front door. From here, you can take the 131 bus to the Ubahn Station Ruhleben, where you can take the U2. Or you can take the M36 bus that will take you to Rathaus Spandau. You can take the U6, the S3 or S9, and various trains from here.
In under 10 minutes, you can also walk to a Penny, Rewe, various Apothekes, and Rossman. A little further away, you will find Kaufland, Ikea, Obi, and Fressnapf (you can walk or take a bus, depending on your preference).
Currently, we are a mixed WG. Your roommates will be Hendrik and Luisa.
Hendrik (22) recently moved in. He is from Thailand, and while predominantly speaking English, he is also working on his German. Hendrik coaches tennis and is always down for a friendly chat in the Kitchen.
Luisa (23) is the primary tenant. She is from the area and speaks German as well as English. While working towards completing her master's, she also has a student job. As such, she is not often in the apartment, but when she is, she is also very friendly and happy to chat.
Finally, while a move-in date at the beginning of March is preferred, we are flexible. As such, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
