As I’m going to be a visiting scholar for some months in the US, I’m subletting my fully furnished room in my shared apartment (4 people + you) in Bonn-Beuel.
If you are interested, drop me a brief message about yourself, what you are going to do in Bonn, what you like to do, and so on. We will organize a casting very soon.
The room is 21 squared meter, direct access to our pretty balcony. It should be noted, though, that everyone in the flat can equally use the balcony, and so you should be willing to let the others passing through your room for that. It is a simple room but has everything you need: bed with mattress, closet, desk & chair, a small sofa bed, a small bookshelf and another shelf in case you have more stuffs to store, and two small tables. Most importantly, I take good care of my room (I clean it weekly), so I expect my sub-tenant to take care of it, too.
it’s 5-minute walk to Konrad-Adenauer Platz, from where you can get direct connections to the city center, Poppelsdorf, Sankt Augustin, Siegburg,… Bonn is also a bike-friendly city with most places being reachable in 15-20 minutes.
Our apartment is spacious and very well-organized. We are 5 international people sharing a harmonic life. Manu is Mexican-American and working at GIZ. Nathalie is a Master student in Geography. The two are a lovely couple and they share the largest room in the flat. Pascal is another Geography Master student who leads an active life, but he will be gone for some weeks also from October to Kenya for his Master study. Tilman is a very caring person working in youth political awareness. So you’re supposed to have great companies here. I’m An, a Vietnamese PhD student in Agricultural economics. We speak interchangeably German and English in the flat, sometimes also Spanish and French. We spend a lot of time together on talking, going out, watching movies,…, and especially cooking. Private space is always respected, but you should not isolate yourself from the rest by always shutting the door. Speaking out problems and discussing solution are always encouraged. Most importantly, we are very committed to the overall cleanliness and maintain a very efficient cleaning plan. Cleaning after yourself is the rule of thumb. So you should be prepared for that.
