A fully furnished room in a fully furnished 2-er WG is available from 1 June 2023 until 31 September 2023 (with a possibility for extension of the contract until 31 March 2024). The rent of 620 is all-inclusive of electricity, heating, Wi-Fi and laundry.
The kitchen has a stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven, electric kettle and all basic cutlery (mugs, plates, glasses, utensils). There is a desk in the kitchen/living room area with a chair, a couch and a TV. There is also a dining table and chairs.
The bedroom has a double bed, a large closet and two side tables with extra storage space. The landlord has also provided bedsheets, duvets, pillows and covers.
The foyer has a coat and shoe rack as well as an extra closet for storage of common items.
The bathroom is modern, and fully stocked.
The location is very central - only 2 minutes walk to the Darmstadt Schulstrasse tram stop, 5 minutes walk to Schloss and 7 minutes walk to Luisenplatz. There is a Netto, Aldi and DM within 4 minutes walk, and the Heinrichstrasse Rewe (open until midnight almost every day) within 7 minutes walk.
The TU Darmstadt Stadtmitte campus is within 5 minutes walk as well, and the Herrengarten is right next to it.
From the Schulstrasse tram stop, the tram 2 and 3 go directly to the Hauuptbahnhof, and from Schloss multiple trams and busses can be caught for going in either direction.
My flatmate is a friendly, outgoing person who works from home. We regularly cook together and watch TV, but she is also very respectful of one's privacy if that is important to you.
The main languages of communication in the WG are Urdu/Hindi and English, but my flatmate also speaks very good German if that is your preference.
Ideally, we are looking for a woman. If the deposit is too much, we can also work out some long-term payment plan.
The landlords are incredibly friendly and understanding - they are charging us a fair rent for the area and even accounting for the rising heating costs, they have been fair with how much they charge us.
If someone wishes to continue the contract after September, they will have to take over the contract.
