Hey! Welcome to this sublease/Untermiete :)
I will be writing this in English, because one flat mate (Valentina) is from Chile and doesn‘t speak german yet, making fluent english kind of required for a nice time living together. However with Meike and Nicklas you may very well speak german!
To me and also the others it is very important to get along well! This is not supposed to be a flat share where you just have a room and hate your flat mates. If you think this flat is nice for you, I‘ll have a chat with you and if it seems like a nice fit we can arrange a meeting with the others :)
So my room comes with a bed, an armchair and some storage space - I can also carry up a table and chair that are currently stored in the cellar. Of course I will take out everything that belongs to me so you will have space to store your stuff!
We got a big living room and lots of space in both the kitchen and the bathroom.
Basically everything is a two minute walk away from the flat: Rewe, Aldi, dm and others. Tram to uni and city centre is 8min walk away. We also got plenty of parking lots.
Your flatmates will be Valentina, Meike and Nicklas (all 27-28yo): all social and respectful as well as fun to be around and have discussions with! We usually spent quite some time in the living room talking, eating, playing games or watching netflix or whatever.
• Valentina is from Chile, doing her Masters in Data & Discourse Studies and just started with ballet and a martial arts course (I forgot the name and don‘t dare to ask - maybe its Hapkido?). She is no good at cooking but amazing at baking and the whole flat is benefiting from this!
• Meike is writing her Master thesis in Technology & Philosophy while already starting her PhD in Gießen and working at Kleine Fluchten in Darmstadt. As her shoulder is hopefully recovering from an injury, she started to go bouldering again after taking a break - when she cooks her famous Lasagne, usually the whole flat will be able to be fed :p
• Nicklas is in his Masters of Sociology and absolutely loves (cooking) Chinese food. Here as well, the food is getting shared if you would like to try - absolutely recommended! Sometimes there will be random thrusts of motivation for doing ____ [insert anything random] bolting through him, with the effect of the whole living room being messy*.
*This can easily happen in this flat share. However, if you‘re disturbed by this just say so and it will be tidied up very quickly.
As I said in the beginning, a respectful and friendly relationship is very important to all of us, which is why I tried to give you a good overview of our flat life here. If would like to drop me a message, please start your message with „Hey Tork“ so that I know you read the actual text :)
