Your potential room is approx. 16m^2 in size. It has a beautiful large window facing east towards the quiet backyard of Altmarkt Galerie. In the morning it is bathed in a beautiful light. The room is rented without furniture, so you can set yourself up from scratch.
We are shifting from a 4 to a 3 people flat, so we will get a nice shared 20m^2 living room with a great balcony when the previous flatmate moves out (around may). We also have a big hallway that we currently use when friends come over for dinner, playing DnD, and general storage. Our kitchen is cozy, and has everything you need (including a dishwasher!). Our rooms are all approximately the same size.
Our shared apartment is located in the heart of the old town, directly on the Altmarktgalarie, between Postplatz and Pragerstraße. You don't have to worry about public transport, as we have a lot of trams and buses. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Elbe and the main train station. The TU campus is about 3 km away, so you can easily cycle there.
Your potential new flatmates are Irene and Jonas!
Irene (26, she/her) is a spanish PhD student. She doesn't speak much german, so we are looking for a flatmate that is fluent in english. On her free time she likes to climb, hike, and cook some vegan treats. She is definitely looking forward to setting up the living room to play Dungeons and Dragons, and arrange movie nights together!
Jonas (24) also pursues a PhD in material science (although that is not a requirement, we promise! :D) and loves to discuss the most random topics at the kitchen table. Apart from that he spends his time with sports, 3D-printing, videogames and almost dying in DnD.
We are looking for someone that wants to stay for an extended period of time with us (around 1 year minimum) and has some experience sharing a flat before.
And it should go without saying but Nazis are not welcome :)
We have another flatmate currently living in our living room to be. Till is studying and is a member of the Bärenzwinger student club, where he often stands behind the bar in the evenings. When he's home he likes to game in his room but usually he can be found at pretty much every party. He keeps the houseplants alive better than the rest of us.
He is still unsure when he will move out, but it should be around May. As long as he is still living with us, the rent for the room will of course be much lower (around 370eur).
If you got this far, please tell us what your favourite flower is so we know you read it all! :D
