Schöne 4er-WG im Frankfurter Nordend // 4-person flat in Frankfurt Nordend

Hello everybody,

We offer one room in our well-located flat in Nordend.

You'd be living in a charming, somehow shabby, older building with high ceilings. The room is part of a quite established (student) flat share. It is app. 14 m2 big and has one large window facing some trees the backyard. There is a loft bed built into the room. The room also has a small side room which can be used for storing clothes and other things. We like to sit together in the kitchen which holds sufficient space for cooking or playing board games together. The bathroom (with bathtub) is separated from a restroom. The flat is situated on the second floor. The total rent for the room is around 404€.

The flat is located on Friedberger Landstraße, one minute walking distance from “Friedberger Platz”. Accordingly, it is easy to reach all kinds of destinations in Frankfurt. A short Tram-ride (2 stations) will bring you to Konstablerwache. Goethe-University can be reached by bike in 10 minutes. Grocery stores (Aldi, Rewe, Denns) are also close (7 minutes walking distance maximum). Basic groceries are shared with each other in our flat.

The flat is shared by four people in total. Your flatmates would be Belén (26), Ida (25) and Christopher (27). Right now, we are all studying and working. But people working are welcome as well. Belén is currently studying viola at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. She loves reading and practicing Yoga and is known as best Tortilla de patata cook in town :). Ida is studying Political Theory and works on digitizing the University Library. Additionally to that, Ida is active in educational work and likes taking care of + expanding their collection of plants. Christopher is also studying Political Theory and works at the university. He too practices yoga and likes to cook. Also, he likes to go jogging and is a hoarder of books, which he even occasionally reads. He also cares for the flats sourdough.

For communicating in the flat, we speak both English and German (and sometimes Spanish). We are striving towards living together in a space that is appreciative and sensitive to all sorts of discrimination.

Liebe alle,

für unsere 4er-WG im Frankfurter Nordend suchen wir eine*n Mieter*in

Das Zimmer ist ca. 14 qm groß und kostet warm ca. 404 Euro. Es hat ein großes Fenster in den Hinterhof und ist somit lichtdurchströmt. In das Zimmer ist ein Hochbett eingebaut, sodass unten mehr Platz ist. Außerdem ist an das Zimmer ein kleiner Raum angeschlossen, der als begehbarer Kleiderschrank und Stauraum genutzt werden kann.

Unsere Wohnung (ca. 80 qm) ist ein Altbau, befindet sich im 2. OG und bietet hohe Decken, Laminatboden, Bad und WC (separat) sowie eine geräumige Küche. Wir teilen unsere Grundnahrungsmittel, beim gelegentlichen gemeinsamen Essen achten wir auf die Bedürfnisse aller. Putzen teilen wir gemeinschaftlich auf.

Das Haus befindet sich in bester Nordend-Lage: Nur zwei Tram-Stationen zur Konstablerwache (Innenstadt) und eine Station zur FH; Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im REWE, Aldi oder Bio-Laden gibt es in der Nähe, auch Parks und Cafés sind nicht weit. Die Goethe-Uni mit dem Fahrrad in 10 Minuten erreicht.

Wir beschäftigen uns alle (mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten) – mit Philosophie & Politik, (klassischer) Musik, Technik, Handwerkskunst, Feminismus und der Suche nach dem guten und schönen Leben. Christopher, 27, studiert Politische Theorie und arbeitet an der Uni. Er kocht gerne, macht Yoga und geht manchmal joggen. Außerdem sammelt und kauft er gerne Bücher, die er manchmal sogar ließt. Belén, 26, studiert Bratsche an der Hochschule für Musik, liest gerne, macht oft Yoga und ist bekannt für die beste Tortilla de patata in town :). Ida, 25, studiert Politische Theorie und digitalisiert die Universitätsbibliothek. Daneben ist Ida in der politischen Bildungsarbeit tätig und baut deren Zimmerpflanzensammlung aus.

Wir sprechen in der WG hauptsächlich Deutsch und Englisch, manchmal auch Spanisch. Im Zusammenleben ist es uns wichtig, einen diskriminierungs-sensiblen und wertschätzenden Umgang miteinander zu pflegen.

Für die WG-Gespräche laden wir zu Kaffee, Tee oder Wasser in unsere Küche ein.

Unfortunately, finding a new flatmate for our flat is kind of burdensome when it comes to the “official” part. Our landlord requires each member of the flat to provide documents that can prove that they are able to pay the rent for the whole flat, which equals an amount of app. 1400€ (we know, it doesn't sound great…). If somebody does not have sufficient income, the liquidity must be guaranteed by another person (the income of this person must equal an amount of app. 2.500€). This person will have to be a co-signer of the rental contract. We are aware of the fact that this burden is likely to reproduce all kinds of social inequalities. Therefore, we are willing to find a solution for this problem together and would like to encourage you to apply for the room even if you do not have sufficient funds.

... und noch etwas zum möglichen Einzug: Leider verlangt unsere Hausverwaltung von jedem*r neuen Mieter*in einen Einkommensnachweis, aus dem hervorgeht, dass er*sie in der Lage ist, die monatliche Gesamtmiete der Wohnung (ca. 1400€) zu zahlen. Ggf. muss dieser Betrag von einer weiteren Person nachgewiesen werden, die dann mit im Vertrag steht und selbst ein Einkommen von ca. 2.500€ nachweisen können muss (jop…). Wir wollen uns von derartigen rechtlichen Strapazen nicht entmutigen lassen und würden uns daher freuen, wenn ihr Euch davon nicht abschrecken lasst und wir dann gemeinsam nach einer Lösung suchen.
