Hey! I am leaving Hamburg (and my beloved WG!) to study so my room will be available for you. :)
Since not everyone in this WG is German and speaks German we mostly speak English and like people who are open for that.
It's a nice and big room with high ceilings and a wooden floor. You will find everything you need in there (bed, chest of drawers, mirror, shelves etc.)
The rest of the flat is also fully furnished since we moved in only 1,5 years ago and decorated everything nicely. :)
Our WG has a big kitchen, a cozy living room, a quiet balcony and a little office room. There's also plenty of storage space in our 3 little storage rooms. Sounds like a big flat? It is a big flat! We have more than 160sq in total! :)
Our flat is located in the centre of Ottensen, a nice neighbourhood full of cafes, restaurants and little shops. It's mostly young people and hipster families living here which generates a really chilled vibe.
Big bonus of the flat: It's basically right next to an ice cream shop, a nice green park and the Elbe. Within 10 minutes walk you get to see the harbour, the boats and nice sunsets. :)
If you have a bike, nothing is far from Ottensen! Otherwise just jump into a bus or walk to Altona station (12 mins) to get the S-Bahn.
Shops are also in walking distance – e.g. EDEKA, Aldi, Lidl, Penny, Budni, Rossmann.
We are an international flat and are looking for open-minded people who likes to speak English and hangout with people from different countries.
Caro (25) comes from Sweden, loves design, architecture and photography and is always open for a nice long Sunday breakfast.
Simon (30) grew up outside of Hamburg and works in a shipping company. He loves to speak English or Spanish and likes both – chilling in the kitchen with a glass of wine and playing Squash like there's no tomorrow.
José (31) is originally from Venezuela, but lived in Barcelona for 6 years. He came to Hamburg last year to work as a software engineer and is exploring the city with his vintage retro bike. We love him for his Arepas and his amazing Shakshuka!
I will subrent the room until end of March but most likely you can takeover it afterwards and stay here with an unlimited contract. I would only come back here if I don't like university – which I don't hope. :) This makes it a perfect start for people who want to move to Hamburg in the long term but need something quick (and fully furnished) for now.
We are excited to meet you, so tell us a little bit about you and your expectations of a WG and then we have a chat!
Btw: We would probably meet you next Monday & Tuesday – if you can't make it to Hamburg that spontaneously don't worry, we can also skype. :)
See you soon,
the Bernadotte-WG
