The room is a bit bigger than 15 square meters and very bright with a large window facing south. Inside are large built-in cupboards that do not take up any space and still offer a lot of storage space. There is also a bed, a desk, and a chair.
The view from the window leads to the green indoor area with fireplace and volleyball court, which is especially lively on warm days and is great for meeting friends and having a barbecue, or just relaxing.
The apartment is located in the Holbeinring student residence in Heidelberg-Rohrbach and has very good connections to both the Altstadt and Neuenheimer Feld university campuses. A tram stop is a 7-minute walk away, and the Heidelberg Kirchheim/Rohrbach train station can be reached in a 15-minute walk. It takes about 15 minutes by bike to get to the city center and about 20 minutes to Neuenheimer Feld.
In 7 minutes walk there are very good shops, including a Rewe with a good bakery, DM, Lidl and Aldi.
Otherwise there are also good opportunities for walking, for example in the direction of the Bierhelderhof, and some delicious restaurants.
In Rohrbach there are many opportunities to do sports, including an indoor pool, sports fields and the boulder house (10 minutes on foot). The nearest gym is also about 10 minutes away.
Agathe and Tim are currently living in the flat share.
I (Silvia) will be doing an internship in Frankfurt and therefore will be subleasing my room from April until end of July.
You will be living with Tim (22, Geography). Tim is German and comes from Lake Constance. He is really outgoing and is always out and about or traveling. He is also very sporty; he especially loves bouldering and cycling at the moment. As noted by himself, he really enjoys eating.
Your other roommate will be Agathe (21, Germanistics and Biology). Agathe comes from France, near to Versace. Agathe just arrived last semester to do her Erasmus. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. She is an animal lover, especially cats. You could often find her in the evenings preparing a cup of tea.
Our shared flat is very relaxed. We like to meet up to cook together, have a drink or watch a movie. The Holbeinring student residence also offers many opportunities to get to know other students, and we also like to spend a lot of time with friends in flat shares.
A clean shared flat is very important to us, and we clean the shared areas once a week (usually on Sundays). We also use a cleaning plan for this, which has worked quite well so far.
Open, friendly interactions with one another are very important to us. We are not a flat share and like to spend time together. Therefore, we are happy about someone who also shares this view. We don't want to force anyone to do anything, because the most important thing for us is that you feel comfortable at home. 😊
If you are interested, we look forward to hearing from you!
Unfortunately, since this is a hall of residence of the Studierendenwerk, only students can apply.
The Studierendenwerk asks that, in a flat such as ours, that there be two female students and one male student. Thus, we would prefer a female student however, if we could not find a female student we could also allow a male student, but with special consent form.
Other details we can discuss over video chat
