The room is ideal if you are doing an internship, studying German in Heidelberg or need a place to stay before starting university during the summer term. If you are travelling through Germany and need a place for a long-stay in the wonderful city of Heidelberg, also feel welcome to contact us. ERASMUS and EXCHANGE STUDENTS ARE WELCOME!
The room is the biggest of the flat, located in the attic (only 2 other people on the same floor!). All furniture is included (desk, wardrobe, coat hanger, bed, night stand, book shelves, lamps etc). You will have everything you need, like blankets, pillows, bed sheets, towels, cables etc. My books and CDs will stay in the room, but you will of course have enough space for all your belongings. Plus points: you can also enjoy a harp and an electrical piano in the living room!
The house is a bit old, so that's why the rent is cheap. The ground floor (more than 50 square meters) used to be part of a restaurant and therefore has a pretty cool and unique flair. Here you will find the kitchen and the living room, with both a co-working corner and a couch corner + stereo system and projector for movie nights. Our 8 rooms are spread over the other two floors. With a large laundry room with bathtub, a shower with a toilet (second floor) and an additional separate toilet (first floor), there are rarely any sanitary bottlenecks. In the basement there is storage space for luggages and bikes and a small workbench with an incredible number of tools.
We also have a hanging device for bicycles at the entrance. On top of everything, for the last few years we have been renting a shared garden within a 5-10 minute walk from the house where we often organise jam sessions or (veggie) barbecues. The garden is our special place to relax and escape the summer heat!

The WG is located in Kirchheim in a quiet residential area. In a few minutes you are out in the fields! The public transport connection is great. From "Kirchheim Rathaus" (3 min) you can take tram line 26 or the buses 33 and 720/721 comfortably to the main station or to the old town. With the S-Bahn you have a direct connection from "HD Kirchheim/Rohrbach" (8 min) in the direction of Karlsruhe and Mannheim. Of course, the fastest and cheapest way is by bike... For cyclists there is a Nextbike station at the town hall, or maybe some used bikes to repair in our cellar.
Aldi, Lidl, Casa Verde, various bakeries and healthy food stores can be reached on foot in less than 5 minutes, REWE in about 10 minutes. In Rohrbach there is also the so-called Erlebnis-REWE and a DM. Kirchheim is also well supplied with kebab shops, pizza shops, an ice cream parlour, an Asian snack bar and various restaurants and therefore you won't have to suffer from hunger. Volksbank, Sparkasse and a post office can also be reached on foot in a very short time.

Living in a shared apartment (WG) is definitely the best thing about our house! We are absolutely not a "Zweck-WG". We are a bunch of 22 to 33 year old made up of different personalities and occupations, from students and PhDs in various subjects to young workers. We organise Plenum (WG-meeting) once or twice a month to discuss about how we want to develop the WG together.
We support each other, cook for everyone from time to time, try to respect our cleaning plan, organise birthday parties and work on house projects together. We are also very open about having guests and friends over, family members and of course your partner are welcome.
We often sit together in the living room in the evening, cook, play games or start a spontaneous dance party. Of course sometimes we're also organising more quiet things, like watching a movie, reading something together or babbling about life, the universe and whatever else is buzzing around in our heads.
p.s. we are NOT a Studentenverbindung!!
