We are looking for a roommate to join our 3-person shared apartment! The room is south facing, very bright and well maintained. There are three pairs of windows, two of them overlooking the balcony and the main street, with plenty of sun streaming in during the day. The room is partially furnished - it comes with a big wardrobe.
Available from 1st Nov or 15th Nov, with flexibility plus or minus around the start date.
The whole 3 bedroom apartment is approximately 105m2, with well maintained wooden parquet flooring, a large kitchen with modern stoves and oven, the recommended fridge and freezer, and a stylish bathroom that comes with a bathtub. We also have a relatively new washing machine in our flat.
Of course we cannot forget our 10 meter long balcony where you could enjoy the warm sunny days of Heidelberg. While there is furniture on the balcony, we are always open to new ideas of making the balcony a more comfy place to spend time in. There is also a storage garage where you can put your bike in.
The monthly price includes the base rent of 590 EUR, and 47 EUR of utilities (including internet, water, heating and electricity). Depending on how much we use, we usually get some money back for the utilities. For the internet we have a high speed 150 Mbps connection.
Hannah, the current tenant of the room, would like to pass on the cost of the wardrobe and the furniture on the balcony for a negotiable price of 100 EUR.
Malte is the lead tenant, with whom you'll be signing the contract with.
You’ll be right at the centre of the most vibrant parts of Heidelberg! The apartment is located in Neuenheim, in close proximity to the city centre, all the local amenities and shops!
You’re 5 minutes walk away from Bismarckplatz, the supermarket, all the lovely cafes and restaurants, the post office, and about 40 seconds from the Neckarwiese.
Sadly our really lovely flatmate Hannah is leaving because of a sudden change in her job situation. Malte (30) and I (30) are therefore looking for someone to share this wonderful apartment with.
Malte is German, works in the private sector, loves going for a proper bike ride or an evening run, a maultaschen and pizza enthusiast. I am from Hong Kong/the UK, a post-doctoral researcher in biological sciences, a keen tennis player, love a whisky or glass of wine, and enjoy all kinds of social activities.
We are open-minded, friendly, calm and relaxed. While we all work long hours and have different schedules, we often enjoy having a cosy chat in the evenings together whenever it fits, with the little adventures trying out new restaurants, and of course treating ourselves at the amazing cafes that Neuenheim has to offer.
Equally, we understand we all need time to ourselves, and would always respect each other’s personal space. Cleanliness and being considerate are very important to us. We take turns to clean the flat regularly, and take into account each other’s sleeping hours in our daily routines.
With the corona pandemic still ravaging, we take social distancing and hygiene measures seriously, and would like to share the flat with somebody who also does.
The crazy party nights in our student days perhaps are behind us, but we still chose a flatshare for its energetic and upbeat environment after a long day of work, and would hope to have someone who also enjoys sharing a flat together to move in.
