Hello everybody! Daniel and I are looking for a third housemate to join us in our cozy apartment on the second floor of a historic building. Our apartment has recently been completely renovated with a modern kitchen, new windows and a nice balcony. Also, the apartment is really bright thanks to the big windows and the high ceiling. We also have some quite nice views over the forests and hills around Heidelberg.
The apartment includes a stylized entrance hall, a new kitchen (induction stoves and dishwasher!), a nice bathroom with a shower stall, a cozy dining room with a large table and connected to a nice balcony, which faces south, so it's suitable for sunbathing or just chilling in the shade. At the underground level, we also have a laundry room with our washing machine, a cellar and a bike shed.
The room you would get has a nice wooden floor, big windows and a few artistic touches. It's partly furnished as it comes with a vintage desk and a wooden cupboard. Plus there's plenty of space to add a bed and some other pieces of furniture here and there.
The building rises on the south-western edge of Weststadt, just 10 minutes away from the main station (by feet!). There are 2 tram stops near the apartment, both about 4-5 minutes walking. "Rudolf-Diesel-Straße" is served by the 26 and 33, while "Montpellier-Brücke" is served by the 22.
The area around is full of small shops, restaurants (Kicho, Mandy's) and fast-food restaurants (McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut). You can get your groceries from the nearby Kaufland and Aldi. Mediamarkt is close-by too.
You will share the apartment with Daniel and me, plus 2 house cats.
Daniel is German, 32 yo and he works a biosystem engineer at DKFZ. He likes playing videogames and board games. He's very nice and calm and he has a sweet tooth.
I, myself, am a 27 yo guy from Bologna (IT) and I work as a project manager in a biotech company. I also like playing videogames, watching TV series, cooking (let's say food in general). I also like hanging out with friends and to chill somewhere while having a drink.
Our life in the apartment is pretty relaxed. We often cook together or just share some food. We also like to play something together, being videogames (I have a pretty good selection of consoles and multiplayer games) or board games (Daniel has some good strategy board games!). Every now and then we watch some series together. Finally, we have a cleaning schedule up and running to keep the apartment clean.
Lastly, Sami and Roxi are Daniel's bengal cats, they are about 2 years old and they are as cute as they playful. He is responsible for them, so the toiletry and food will be in his room. Around the apartment we have scratching posts, to keep the furniture safe, and toys, so you are always to grab one and start playing with them (which is both fun and relaxing).
The additional costs already include internet (fiber at 400mbps!!!), telephone, "rundfunkbeitrag" and electricity. So you have a clear view over what you're paying and you have nothing to add later on. Pretty sweet deal uh?
