Hey all,
As I'll be leaving my flatshare for ca. 2,5 months starting February 1st in order to collect data for my thesis, I'm looking for a suitable sub-tenant to occupy my quiet and cozy room :)
The room itself is furnished with a bed, desk and closet and receives a decent flood of sunlight during the day. The flat also has all the necessary amenities (washing machine, dryer, etc.) and comes along with two super cool flatmates!
While Rohrbach isn't exactly the heart of Heidelberg, we consider it to be somewhat of a hidden gem given the gorgeous old centre of Rohrbach with plenty of breakfast and lunch spots worthy of bragging about (there's even a Michelin star restaurant around the corner!)
The tram/bus stop is a 2 minute walk serviced by bus line 29 (to Bismarckplatz) and trams lines 23 (to Bismarckplatz) and 24 (to Neuenheim) making it a super well connected spot, no matter where you need to go. This translates to a 20 minute commute into both the Altstadt and Neuenheimer Feld.
Cycling is to both the Altstadt and Neuenheim also takes about 20 - 25 Minutes
The nearest shop, Penny, is just a 5 minute walk away and a bigger shopping centre sporting Aldi, Rewe, and DM is 6 minutes by foot. Most importantly, Karlstor is just around the corner!
If you're an avid hiker like I am, then you'll feel right at home with forest being nearby.
My flatmates, Berin and Nate, are open and social people who will be sure to make you feel at home. While we all enjoy doing things together every now and then, we put emphasis on respecting everyones private sphere and most of all allowing for "me time". We don't have any obligations such as a "WG-evening" or anything of that sorts, so need to worry about mandated boredom. Our only requirement is that the flat is kept clean and tidy to a reasonable degree.
Aside from that, Berin is from Germany and is a neuroscience Phd Student. Nate is originally from South Africa, having also lived in Australia before moving to Germany and is currently pursuing his bachelors in economics.
