English Version
The flat is located on the fourth floor. It was renovated a few years ago and is therefore in good condition. Your room is approx. 17m2 in size and has a small sloping roof. The wooden floor makes the ambience in the room (as well as in the rest of the flat) very cosy. The window faces west towards Hasselmannstraße, where there are not many cars and the street noise is kept out very well through the window. The kitchen is relatively small, but cosy and well equipped. The bathroom is very spacious and offers enough room for clothes drying racks, plants etc.
The atmosphere in the house is great, we know people from the other flatshares and cook/have a party together from time to time. The backyard is perfect for this, with a table, a fire bowl, raised beds and a greenhouse. There is also (still) a small house where parties are occasionally held. It is also possible to store your bike here.
The Südfriedhof is the best neighbourhood in Kiel (personal opinion)! With the Südfriedhof, the Moorteichwiese and the Schützenpark, there are many beautiful green spaces and parks. Apart from Kirchhofallee, the neighbourhood is rather quiet, but there are still cool bars to go out in the evening, such as Prinz Willi, JuMe and the Bierlokal Quickborn. The density of kebab and pizza shops is also perfect for a spontaneous snack! The flat is a 5-minute walk from the Rewe and LIDL supermarkets at the Südfriedhof. And if you do want to get out of the neighbourhood, bus line 81 connects the neighbourhood with the west bank from the ‘Südfriedhof’ stop (1 minute away) and the main train station is also only a 10-minute walk away. All central neighbourhoods can also be reached by bike in 10-15 minutes.
On 1 June, two rooms in the shared flat will become available, so you would be in a relatively new constellation. One room has already been allocated to Sandy.
Sandy (27) comes from England and works at GEOMAR. When she's not working, she likes to be active and socialise. She likes to chat about everything, but also knows that it's important to recharge your batteries with a bit of peace and quiet. Recently she has been travelling a lot by bike to explore the area around Kiel.
Hauke (28) is working on his doctoral thesis on urban development in São Paulo. He enjoys cooking and eating together and is always up for a chat in the kitchen. He enjoys watching films, playing chess and football and often goes bouldering. He also plans to regularly jump into the fjord and lakes around Kiel in the mornings in summer. Occasionally you can hear the (mostly) melodious tones of his piano from his room.
As the constellation will be completely new, we'll have to see how life settles down. In general, respectful, honest and open interaction and a shared understanding of sustainable and communal coexistence are important to us. Things can get a bit louder in the evenings when we have friends over.
We've also already talked about sharing some food.
Does that sound good? Then leave us a message, we look forward to hearing from you!
