Schönes Zimmer mit Gartenzugang in 5er WG

Das Haus in dem wir leben ist erst 7 Jahre alt und umfasst 4 WGs (18 Leute). Wir sind stolze Besitzer
eines großen Gartens, der diesen Sommer hoffentlich mit einer Fülle an Obst und Gemüse strahlen
kann. Im Sommer ist unser großer Vorhof Dreh- und Angelpunkt für kurze Gespräche und ewiges,
ungezwungenes Rumgehänge. Fühlt sich bisschen wie Urlaub an, aber in richtig gut!
Wir wohnen in Kalk/Höhenberg. Vor der Haustür befindet sich ein Edeka, Penny und Norma. Die
nächste Ubahn-Station ist 3 Fußminuten entfernt und das blühende multi-kulti Leben des (maßlos)
unterschätzten Stadteils Kalk ist 3 Radminuten oder 10 Fußminuten oder 1 Ubahn-Station entfernt.
Kalk ist einer der ehrlichsten und authentischsten Stadteile, mit vielen tollen Läden.
Distanzen:
Uni: 25min Fahrrad; 10min Fußweg entfernt hält die 9, die dich direkt zur Uni in 20Minuten bringt.
Sonst muss man einmal umsteigen. Zur TH braucht man mit dem Rad und mit der Bahn ca. 10
Minuten.
Stadtkern: Ist direkt mit der Linie 1 erreichbar (Heumarkt 15min Fahrt). Die 1 fährt einmal gerade aus
durch die Stadt, sodass man von unserer Ubahn-Station die meisten Dinge ohne umsteigen erreichen
kann. Mit dem Rad braucht man ca. 20min bis zum Stadtkern.

The house we live in is only 7 years old and includes 4 shared apartments (18 people). We are the proud owners of a large garden, which hopefully this summer will shine with an abundance of fruits and vegetables. In the summer, our large front yard is a hub for short conversations and casual hanging out. Feels a bit like a vacation, but in really good!
We live in Kalk/Höhenberg. On the doorstep there are supermarkets like Edeka, Penny and Norma. The nearest subway station is 3 minutes walk away and the thriving multi-culti life of the (vastly) underestimated district Kalk is 3 minutes by bike or 10 minutes by foot or 1 metro stop away.
Kalk is one of the most honest and authentic parts of cologne, with lots of great stores.
Distances:
Uni: 25min bike; 10min walk away stops the 9, which takes you directly to the Uni in 20min.
Otherwise you have to change trains once. To the TH you need about 10 minutes by bike and by train.
City center: Can be reached directly with line 1 (Heumarkt 15min ride). The 1 goes straight
through the city, so you can reach most things from our subway station without changing trains. By bike it takes about 20min to the city center.

Zunächst mal ein paar Worte über uns:
Emmelie ist unsere langjährigste Mitbewohnerin. Sie ist leidenschaftliche (in der Prüfungsphase liegt
die Betonung auf Leiden) Medizinstudentin an der Uni Köln. Neben regelmäßigem Feiern gehen ist
Emmelie immer für kurze (oder auch sehr lange) Küchengespräche, gutes Essen und gemeinsame
Aktivitäten zu haben. Undefinierbare Geräusche und Gesangseinlagen stehen an der Tagesordnung!
Louisa ist unser jüngstes WG-Mitglied. Ursprünglich aus Belgien kommend (man gebe ihr niemals
nicht-belgische Pommes) genießt sie ihr Kölner Leben in vollen Zügen. Auch Louisa geht gerne feiern,
liebt es in der lauen Frühlingssonne im Café zu sitzen und ist leidenschaftliche Sängerin einer ziemlich
guten Band!
Umut wohnt nun seit Oktober in der WG und steht für gute Laune und Lebensfreude. Neben seinem
Master-Studium als Wirtschaftsingenieur hat er sich hobby- und berufsmäßig der IT und dem
Programmieren gewidmet. Umut ist stets bei allem dabei, egal ob feiern, gesellige Abende oder bei
Ausflügen in die Natur. Wenn du kein Fahrrad hast, dann stehen die Chancen gut, dass er dir eins der
dutzenden kaputten vor der Tür repariert!

Moritz wohnt nun auch seit Oktober in der WG. Als passionierter Koch hat er (zur Freude des
restlichen Hauses) viel Freude daran, Lebensmittel zuzubereiten und andere zu verwöhnen. Moritz
ist durch und durch Musik-Nerd, liebt es auf Konzerte aller Art zu gehen und wird auch nie in der
Lage sein, Feiern gehen auszuschlagen (ihr merkt, feiern gehen – das können wir!). Wenn die
Prüfungsphase das Leben nicht auf den Kopf stellt, findet man Moritz meistens im Garten
Tomatenpflanzen streicheln (wer weiß, was für Pflänzchen in Zukunft gepflanzt werden dürfen ;)
oder einfach nur am rumhängen auf unserem Vorhof und in der Küche.

Some words about us:
Emmelie is our longest standing roommate. She is passionated medical student at the University of Cologne. Besides going out partying on a regular basis Emmelie is always available for short (or very long) kitchen talks, good food and activities together. Undefinable noises and singing are the order of the day!
Louisa is our youngest WG member. Originally from Belgium (never give her non-Belgian fries) she enjoys her Cologne life to the fullest. Louisa also likes to party, loves to sit in the café in the warm spring sun and is a passionate singer of a pretty
good band!
Umut has now been living in the WG since October and stands for good humor and enjoyment of life. Besides his master's degree as an industrial engineer, he has dedicated himself hobbyistically and professionally to IT and programming. Umut is always present at everything, no matter if it is partying, social evenings or at excursions into the nature. If you don't have a bike, chances are good that he'll give you one of the dozens of broken ones in front of the door!

Moritz has also been living in the WG since October. As a passionate cook (to the delight of the rest of the house), he takes great pleasure in preparing food and pampering others. Moritz is a music nerd through and through, loves to go to concerts of all kinds, and will never be able to be able to turn down going out partying (you notice, going out partying - we can do that!). When the exam period doesn't turn life upside down, Moritz can usually be found in the garden stroking tomato plants (who knows what kind of plants may be planted in the future ;) or just hanging out in our front yard and kitchen.

Wir führen ein sehr aktives und liebevolles Miteinander. Um täglichen Kontakt kommt man kaum
herum. Kochabende , gemeinsames Ausgehen und ganz ganz viel gemeinsames Rumhängen steht auf
der Tagesordnung. Wir pflegen eine sehr offene Austauschkultur, sodass jeder Charakter die
Möglichkeit hat, seinen/ihren Fußabdruck in der WG zu etablieren und sich dadurch wohlzufühlen.
Wenn einem etwas nicht passt, ist es bei uns angebracht und wichtig, die Punkte anzusprechen und
der Rest der WG wird dies in jedem Fall respektieren. Wir sind eine überdurchschnittlich saubere
WG, leben alle mindestens vegetarisch und genießen alle einen überaus gesunden Lebensstil, naja,
fast zumindest ;)

We lead a very active and loving living together. There is hardly any way around daily contact. Cooking evenings, going out together and a lot of hanging out together is on the agenda.
We maintain a very open culture of exchange, so that each character has the opportunity to establish his/her footprint in the WG and thus feel comfortable.
If one does not like something, it is appropriate and important for us to address the points and the rest of the WG will respect this in any case. We are an above average clean WG, all live at least vegetarian and all enjoy an extremely healthy lifestyle, well, almost at least ;)
