Hey y’all
We will have a free room in our beautiful 4 people WG in Lindenau and are looking for a lovely new FLINTA* flatmate.
About the room and the flat:
The room is a smooth, rectangular +-18qm, has two large windows facing east from which you can see the “Wilde Heinz”. The floor is wooden floorboards. Right now rent + everything else is a bit more than 350€.
The flat is on the third floor of an older building, has four big bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen with pass-through to an eating area as well as a small living room. The rest of the house is mainly long standing flat shares of mostly working people. The mood is relaxed and familiar. There is a large garden/backyard which is cared for and used by the house community.
We live in a side street from Karl-Heine, the center of the west. There are lots of cafes near us and we are not far from bars, the canal, parks, galleries, cool bookshops, kebab and pizza shops :)
About us and the WG:
We’ve gone through a lot of changes recently and are looking for someone wanting to stay, make a home and perhaps become a main renter of the flat. Preferably we are looking for people who want to stay for at least a year or two. We live in a sort of friendly togetherness, taking care of each other, drinking coffee together and taking part in each others life while respecting everyones need for safe havens and quietness and space for themselves. We have a Cleaning/Shopping plan since we want to split care work evenly between us.
You will be living with Moni, Lisa and Milo :)
Moni: My name is Moni. I graduated from the US after living there for about 7 years. I am now finally living in Germany I would love to learn the language and find and be an independent free lancer visual, Digital, and a tattoo artist as well here in Leipzig . I’m very quiet and peaceful person. I love hiking, reading, discovering anything that’s is new. I am looking for a place where I can feel stable and feel at home. I would love to live in a a place when it feels like home and connect with people and feel safe with each others without any judgment. I would like for my roommates and I feel like family to each other’s ofcourse if my roommates would love that.
Lisa: Hey, I'm Lisa (she/they). I'm from Dublin, Ireland and have been living in Leipzig for about a year. I work as a graphic designer and spend most of my days creating any form of artwork, cycling, and going for a few swims. I'm always down for chats in the kitchen with a glass of wine or cuppa tea. I'm currently attending German lessons and would be happy to speak some German around the flat.
As for what I'm looking for in a flatmate, I'd love to meet someone with those good vibes of enjoying and respecting where they live. It would be lovely to have a little community here of people who don't just live together but enjoy each others company. But taking time for one's self is also very important. Like in all situations, communication is key. I will also be moving in, in October so I'm very happy to meet the fellow newbie.
Milo: Hi! I'm Milo and I've been living in Leipzig and in the flat since April. I'm from Ireland and I moved originally for just a few months to attend an internship at an art studio. I really enjoyed my experience so far and decided to stay longer! I am queer, non-binary/trans masc and use they/them pronouns. I love art, coffee, going for walks/reading in the park and going to different events in the city :) I enjoy having chats and laughs with my flatmates in the kitchen over coffee! I really value the time we spend together and also the respect we have for each others privacy too. Its really great to have an open and welcoming living space that can work for everyone. I look forward to hopefully welcoming you into our wg! :)
If this appeals to you we would be glad to hear from you in a message describing yourself in a few sentences – we look forward to meeting you soon.
Until then,
Milo, Moni and Lisa
