Zimmer in Uni-Nähe mit Garten zur Zwischenmiete in Wg-Haus in Mainz-Bretzenheim

Da sich das Haus in Mainz-Bretzenheim befindet, lässt sich die Lage als ruhig und unaufgeregt beschreiben. Straßenlärm behelligt einen hier nicht. Wenn man doch mehr Halli-Galli möchte, ist man aber auch in 10 Minuten mit dem Rad in der Stadt und am Rhein. In 5 Minuten erreicht man die Universität und den Bretzenheimer Ortskern, der für seine urige Erscheinung bekannt ist. Hier finden sich auch einige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, von der Bäckerei bis zum Supermarkt, Restaurants und Cafes. Bus und Bahnstation sind nur wenige Minuten fußweg vom Haus entfernt. In 10 Minuten ist man sowohl an der Bahnstation Hilgegard-von-Bingen-Straße, als auch an der Bahnstraße. Möchte man mal in die Ferne blicken oder Laufen gehen, sind die Felder hinter der MEWA-Arena nicht weit. Ist das einem zu langweilig, kann man in 7 Minuten Fußweg den Botanischen Garten der Uni-Mainz erreichen.
Noch bezeichnender für die Lage ist, dass sie uns einen riesen Garten bietet, der sich aus der Zementwüste als grüne Oase hervorhebt und uns einige Freiheiten bietet. Es gibt eine Terasse auf der regelmäßig Feuer gemacht und gegrillt wird, einen Gemüsegarten, der gehegt und gepflegt wird, einige Obstbäume, deren Früchte zu Köstlichkeiten verarbeitet werden, mehrere Slacklines, ein Trampolin und noch viel mehr Platz um sich auszutoben. Wenn du interessiert am werkeln und basteln bist, dann gibt es hier genügend Möglichkeiten, um der Kreativität freien Lauf zu lassen.

Since the house is located in Mainz-Bretzenheim, the location can be described as quiet and peaceful. Street noise does not bother you here. If you want more action, you can reach the city and the Rhine in 10 minutes by bike. In 5 minutes you can reach the university and the heart of Bretzenheim, which is known for its quaint appearance. Here you will also find several shopping facilities, from bakeries to supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Bus and train station are only a few minutes walk from the house. It takes 10 minutes to reach the Hilgegard-von-Bingen-Straße station as well as the Bahnstraße. If you want to gaze into the distance or go for a run, the fields behind the MEWA Arena are not far away. If that's too boring, you can reach the Botanical Garden of the University of Mainz in 7 minutes on foot.
Even more characteristic of the location is that it offers us a huge garden, which stands out from the cement desert as a green oasis and offers us some freedom. There is a terrace where fires are regularly lit and barbecues are held, a vegetable garden that is nurtured and cared for, some fruit trees whose fruits are turned into delicacies, several slacklines, a trampoline, and much more space to let off steam. If you are interested in crafting and tinkering, there are plenty of opportunities here to let your creativity run free.

Das Zusammenleben in unserer WG gestaltet sich als gemeinschaftlich und ungezwungen. Nicht selten verbringen wir Morgende und Abende miteinander beim Kochen und gemeinsamen Essen, am Wochenende frühstücken wir auch gerne mal ausgedehnt zusammen. Freunde und Freundinnen sind bei uns immer willkommen und gehen oft ein und aus. Offene und ehrliche Kommunikation ist wichtig für uns, unser Umgang miteinander ist umkompliziert und humorvoll. Unsere Türen sind meist nur angelehnt und wir schauen gerne mal beim Anderen rein. Wenn jemand seine Ruhe braucht oder anderen Projekten nachgeht und deswegen nicht so involviert sein kann, ist das kein Problem. Weil der Garten direkt hinter dem Haus ist, verbringen wir dort viel Zeit. Sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter wird die Terrasse als Wohnzimmer genutzt. Wir haben mehrere Sofas und Feuertonnen und auch eine Schwitzhütte für die Saunaliebenden. Wir versuchen einfach unseren WG-Alltag mit kleinen, gemeinsamen Aktivitäten zu gestalten, so dass man sich heimisch fühlen kann. Stubenhocken ist nicht gerade unser Ding. Wenn das aber mal vorkommt - vor allem im Winter - dann so richtig mit Spiele- und Filmabend.
Momentan wird das Essen komplett geteilt und von einer gemeinsamen Kasse bezahlt oder bei Foodsharing gerettet. Zusätzlich beziehen wir einmal wöchentlich biologisch angebautes Gemüse, für das wir momentan 23 Euro/Person/Monat bezahlen. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn du dieses Konzept mit uns teilen würdest. Es ist aber auch völlig okay, wenn du lieber dein eigenes Ding machen möchtest.
Bis Ende Oktober wird Prasanna, die Zischenmiete von Leo noch bei uns wohnen. Er macht gerade eine Praktikum beim Max-Planck-Institut. Leo studiert in Mainz Biologie und ist ein offener und empathischer Mensch, mit ihm kann man über alles mögliche reden von Ernst bis absolutem Blödsinn. Genau wie der Rest unserer WG, liebt er es zu Campen und möglichst viel Outdoor zu unternehmen. Außerdem ist er passionierter Jongleur und waghalsiger High- und Slackliner. Mit ihm wirst du öfter in der Küche versacken und über Themen jeder Art philosophieren.
Seit September wohnt Nadja mit ihren zwei Katzen bei uns. Sie hat gerade ihren Bachelor in Filmproduktion absolviert und ist nun als Kamerafrau unterwegs. Sie bouldert und fotografiert gerne und ist wie der Rest von uns gerne draußen unterwegs.
Wenn du also in unsere WG ziehst, wird das eine relativ frische Konstellation sein. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt also, um neue Projekte zu starten und das Wohnen im Haus aktiv mitzugestalten.
In der Wohung unter uns wohnen Lisa, Michi und Anton. Die drei sind Freunde von uns, weswegen der Umgang sehr vertraut ist.

Living together in our shared flat is communal and easy-going. It is not unusual for us to spend mornings and evenings cooking and eating together, and at weekends we also like to have an extended breakfast together. Friends are always welcome and often come in and out. Open and honest communication is important to us, and our interactions are straightforward and humorous. Our doors are usually only leaned on. If someone needs their peace and quiet or is busy with other projects and therefore can't be as involved, that's no problem. Because the garden is right behind the house, we spend a lot of time there. Both in summer and winter, the terrace is used as a living room. We have several sofas and fire tons and also a sweat hut for the sauna lovers. We just try to organise our everyday life in the flat-sharing community with small, shared activities so that people can feel at home. Sitting in a room is not really our thing. But when it does happen - especially in winter - then it's really games and film night.
At the moment, the food is completely shared and paid for by a common fund or saved with foodsharing. In addition, we buy organically grown vegetables once a week, for which we currently pay 23 euros/person/month. We would be happy if you would share this concept with us. However, it is also perfectly okay if you prefer to do your own thing.
Until the end of October, Prasanna, Leo's hissing tenant, will stay with us. He is currently doing an internship at the Max Planck Institute. Leo studies biology in Mainz and is an open and empathetic person, you can talk to him about anything from serious to absolute nonsense. Just like the rest of our flatmates, he loves camping and doing as much outdoor stuff as possible. He is also a passionate juggler and a daredevil highliner and slackliner. You'll often find yourself in the kitchen with him, philosophising about all kinds of topics.
Nadja and her two cats have been living with us since September. She just finished her bachelor's degree in film production and is now on the road as a camerawoman. She likes bouldering and photography and, like the rest of us, enjoys being outdoors.
So when you move into our shared flat, it will be a relatively fresh constellation. So it's a good starting point for starting new projects and actively shaping the living in the house.
Lisa, Michi and Anton live in the flat below us. The three of them are friends of ours, so our interactions are very familiar.
