Neustadt WG-Sucht dich

Die Lage ist Top (wer würde hier auch freiwillig angeben, das die Lage doof wäre?). Ne, die Lage ist wirklich gut. Am Rand der Neustadt, zwischen Bismarckplatz und Zollhafen ist die Lage ruhig, nicht weit vom Rhein entfernt und der nächste Baum ist auch nicht weit.

Der Bismarckplatz ist je nach Schritttempo in 3-5 Minuten erreicht, von dort kommt man direkt zur Uni (10 Minuten), in die Altstadt (Höfchen: 10 Minuten) und eigentlich überall hin nach Mainz (5+X Minuten). Die Haltestelle "Straßenbahnamt" ist auch ums Eck. Bei dem ÖPNV hat Chiara einen besseren Überblick, Jonas fährt das meiste mit dem Rad. Im Innenhof lassen sich Fahrräder im Übrigen gut abstellen.

Alnatura, Rewe, Aldi, LIDL, Netto, Bäcker, Getränkemarkt sind alle in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, Döner, Kiosk und eine 1a Pizzeria sind auch noch da. Verhungern musst du also nicht.

The location is great (who would voluntarily state that the location wasn't?). No, the location really is good, in a quiet neighbourhood in the Neustadt, between Bismarckplatz and Zollhafen, close to the Rhine and the next tree is not far either.

Depending on your walking pace, Bismarckplatz can be reached in 3-5 minutes, from where you can get directly to the university (10 minutes), to the old town (Höfchen: 10 minutes) and actually everywhere in Mainz (5+X minutes). The "Straßenbahnamt" is also around the corner. Chiara has a better overview of public transport, Jonas mostly rides his bike. Bicycles can be parked in the inner courtyard.

Alnatura, Rewe, Aldi, LIDL, Netto, bakery and a beverage market are all within 5-10 minute walking distance, kebab shops, kiosks and a pizzeria are also close. So you don't have to starve.

Deine neuen Mitbewohner können sein:

Chiara, die jüngere, verwertet sämtliche Stoffreste die ihr angeboten werden und lässt sie mit ihrer Nähmaschine neu auferstehen. Sie studiertan der KH Soziale Arbeit und Praktische Theologie, engagiert sich in einem Kinder- und Jugendverband und leitet ein Zeltlagerteam. Sie wünscht sich außerdem eine Mikrowelle für die WG.

Jonas, der ältere, gibt zu viel Geld für Kaffee und Bücher aus, ist begeisterter Drachenbootpaddler und joggt ab und an eine Runde am Rheinufer. Er studiert Medizin im höheren Semester und macht noch andere Dinge nebenher. Oder macht er andere Dinge und studiert Medizin nebenher? Das weiß man gerade nicht so genau.

Unser WG-Leben ist recht entspannt, allerdings hat auch hier die Pandemie ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Nach ERASMUS, Praktika, Heimaturlaub und dem ein oder anderen Untermieter werden wir mit spätestens deinem Einzug wieder komplett sein. Wir sind eher entspannt und familiär unterwegs; keine Party-WG, was nicht heißt, dass wir nicht gesellig sind. Ein "Guten Morgen" und "Hab einen schönen Tag" sind in unserem WG-Alltag ebenso verankert wie "Na, wie war dein Tag" und "Gute Nacht". Gespräche finden im Flur, in der Küche, in einem unsere Zimmer statt, mit Kaffee, Tee oder Wein (keine exklusive Liste, alle Getränke sind willkommen).

Wir achten auf Ordnung, räumen hinter uns auf und achten darauf, dass es auch so bleibt. Geputzt wird i.d.R. einmal in der Woche, ganz so wie es unsere heilige Putzpflanze wünscht.

Your new roommates could be:

Chiara, the younger one, uses all the leftover fabric that is offered to her and resurrects it with her sewing machine. She studies social work and practical theology at the KH and supervises a youth group. She would like a microwave for our WG.

Jonas, the older one, spends too much money on coffee and books, is an enthusiastic dragon boat paddler and occasionally jogs along the banks of the Rhine. He is studying medicine and does other things next to it. Or does he do the other things and studying medicine next to it? One doesn't know that exactly.

Our WG-life is actually quite relaxed, however the pandemic has also left its mark here. After ERASMUS, internships, home leave and one or the other subtenant, we will be complete again when you move in at the latest. We are more relaxed and familiar; no party flat, which does not mean that we are not sociable. "Good morning" and "Have a nice day" are just as anchored in our everyday life as well as "How was your day" and "Good night". Conversations take place in the hallway, in the kitchen, in one of our rooms, with coffee, tea or wine (not an exclusive list, all drinks are welcome).

We pay attention to tidyness, clean up behind us and make sure that it stays that way. Cleaning is usually done once a week, just as our holy cleaning plant wishes.

Im Oktober haben wir einen neuen Kühlschrank gekauft, dafür fällt ein Abschlag von 200€ an
Falls Interesse besteht könnten Schrank und Regale für 250€ VB übernommen werden, Bett und Vorhang gäbe es auch so
