I am an MSc student at FAU looking for a furnished single room

Good day,

It's Shanaka Anuradha. I am an international student from Sri Lanka and I am looking to start my MSc in Artificial Intelligence Degree at FAU. My course is scheduled to start in mid-April, but I am expected to arrive a week or two later due to the visa process. However, I should be able to arrive in Germany by the 1st of May. I am currently looking for accommodation for a long-term contract, if possible.

Please let me quickly introduce myself to you. I’m from a small island in the Indian Ocean with a deep-rooted and vibrant culture. Sinhala is our native language, and we are known for being warm and welcoming people, as well as for our booming tourism industry. The majority of Sri Lankans are religious, and Buddhism is one of the main religions here. I'm also a Buddhist, although I don't partake in religious activities as much, I do appreciate the positive values that all religions have to offer.

I'm always curious to answer the question, "What type of person am I?". We all see the world in different ways and there may be some people who don't appreciate me, so it's hard to answer that question definitively. However, I have been fortunate enough to make a lot of friends in college and at my previous university. While I'm always willing to say Hi and smile at people I meet, I'm careful about who I allow into my close circle of friends. I'm also always willing to help anyone, no matter who they are. I'm generally a quiet person, and I tend to think before I speak. However, I really value connecting with my roommates and having meaningful conversations. Even though I'm a tech person, I understand the importance of taking time off and living a balanced life. I enjoy going to the movies, having the occasional party with friends, working out at the gym, and listening to classical music. All of these things help me to stay sane and focused on the things that really matter.

I do not have German language skills yet, but I am really excited to learn the language and I have already started making progress with the help of the Duolingo app. One of my goals over the next two years is to explore the different cultures of Europe and immerse myself in them.

I hope the information I have provided has given you a good impression of me. I am looking for a place to call home, somewhere I can feel safe and relaxed. It would be wonderful if I could find a place where I feel I truly belong.
