Searching for a room in a nice WG

Hallo zukünftiger Mitbewohner,

Ich schreibe das folgende in English, aber ich verstehe Deutsch, Antwort daher gerne auf Deutsch.

In an effort to facilitate a career change I have started my master studies (Bioinformatics) as a mature student at the University of Potsdam, and therefore I am looking to rent a room in a nice WG.

If you have a room in your WG that is on the market or about to be, I would appreciate hearing from you. To get a bit of an idea about me please read below.

A bit about me:
I am a 38 years old guy, born and bread in India. But for the past 13 odd years I have lived in Germany (doing my PhD), the UK (for Post-doc), India, and now again will be moving to Germany. As a result of my time spent in Germany I speak German as well, although not fluently at the moment.

I am a clean person who likes to maintain a clean and healthy living space, meaning no dirty dishes overnight in the sink:-). Moreover, I am a friendly, tolerant, non-smoker, reliable and respectful guy who is as happy to be on his own, as in a company.

In addition to being outdoors, in my spare time I like doing sports, badminton with regular frequently, although climbing and bowling used to be among them too. In general I am up for any sort of sport/activity. I also like to travel as and when I can, cook (especially with others), dream up tinkering projects and sometimes complete them too :-).

I have lived in flatshares before and have nothing but good memories of it. Most of which were formed while doing things together, such as, cooking, having meals, going for drinks/sports/activities. But I am also mindful of others need of space and privacy. So I would say that living in a flatshare is not a new concept for me.

PS: MAYBE GOOD TO KNOW, would be that the landlord can expect timely rent without any issues, and that I would gladly rent the room for long term (min. two years).
