PhD student looking for a flatmate or shared flat

Hi I’m Jun, 26 year old female, starting my PhD around Potsdam area. I’m looking for either a nice flat share that I can join, or a nice person as future flatmate that we look for a flat together. 1st March is indicated as an ideal date but not a must, so don’t let that stop you.

My background:
I originally come from China. For the past 10 years I’ve been living in London and Bern, Switzerland. So I’m quite an open-minded person. I learned a bit of German (only around A2 level) and do intend to carry on. Also learning Japanese and Czech.
I study physics/geophysics. I’ll be here for the next 3 years with a rather stable income as a PhD student.

My living habits:
I could be bothered by frequent large parties and I’m a bit sensitive to loud musics. Especially now that I may have to do home office often. Otherwise I’m quite flexible. I like to keep things clean but don’t like to make it strict. I could do more cleaning when you’re busy or the other way round. Communication is always the best solution.

I smoke socially, that means, around 1 pack per year. So, I’m okay with other people smoking or if you wouldn’t like me smoking.

I would very much like it if as flatmates we could watch movies, cook, go grocery shopping, go hiking, or have a beer and chat about life together : )) That is how I had it with my previous flatmate. Although, I expect my work to be quite intensive so I’ll be working most of the time, so sharing time together is not compulsory but a luxury ; )

My hobbies:
The only thing that may bother you is that I practice guitar. But I’m just an amateur beginner so on average less than 15 minutes a day. Otherwise I play video games on my laptop. It would be great if there’s a shared TV. I’m very happy to share my switch and some games on steam account.

In terms of sports, not a sporty person but interested in many. I’m a German football fan, a bit cooled down now though. I used to compete in Judo. Now I just do some indoor fitness.
