This room is part of a five-room flat situated on the top floor of Bocklerstrasse 46. It is connected to the downstairs by a spiral staircase. That, and the cozy triangular walls gives this room the feeling of a birdhouse :) It offers good natural lighting and a lovely view of the city, especially at night time. There is one other room on your floor, and you share an upstairs bathroom.
The people are terrific here, which makes leaving this place quite hard. The apartment is quiet during the day (as everyone is working), but the kitchen area is fairly lively in the evenings, where we often gather for cooking and chatting about our days. They are very laid back and friendly, all can speak English, and a couple are native German speakers.
The location of this apartment is outstanding. I've timed myself, and it takes just a little over a minute to walk from the top floor to the U bahn station (Bihlplatz) going towards Vaihingen. Two minutes if you want to ride in the opposite direction towards Marienplatz. Nearby are many, many bakeries (I haven't tried them all), barbershops, apotheke, an outdoor gym (big bonus!), you name it. Netto and Aldi Süd are a ubahn station away. A Saturday market is also situated conveniently in front of your U-bahn stop. (Lots of dogs frequent Bihlplatz, which I personally found to enhance the living experience.)
