This is the room you could be living in! Brilliantly bright thanks to south- and east-facing windows and the white walls. Scandinavian aesthetic and very cosy.
This room is also ideal if you have a lot of stuff. There is a mini storage room with a lot of space separated from the main room by a curtain. We also have a basement with lots of room if this is not enough!
The room comes fully furnished with the furniture you see in pictures. The furniture suits the bright aesthetic of the room perfectly. Ideal for an international student or someone looking to move with minimal hassle.
There is an extra one-time cost of 300€ for the furniture, which considering you will get everything you need, is not bad at all. If you love the room but hate the furniture, no worries! You can always sell the furniture on. The previous tenant paid 550€ second-hand, so you might even make a profit.
Honestly, the property is in a great location. 4 min walk from the Alte Botanischen Garten, 5 from the Altstadt, 2 from the well-connected Hölderlinstraße bus stop.
The house is in a student house owned by the State of Baden-Württemberg, so you must be a student to live here. The three WGs in the house work together to create a community feel. They would like their new flat mate to also be interested in joining this community! Birthdays are often celebrated out in the garden, and in pre-Corona times there were legendary parties... hopefully to return?
The garden is enormous, absolutely ridiculous for a student house. Perfect for sunbathing on sunny days and eating outside. There are a lot of vegetable plots, and a few housemates are keen gardeners. There’s always work to be done in the garden, if that’s your thing.
Your two flatmates will be Nour and Mhyar. They are both students currently finishing up their Bachelors. The current language of the flat is English, but all housemates also speak some German. Both current tenants are planning to move out in the coming months or at the end of next semester. So if you are here for a longer time, you will likely be involved in building a ‘new WG’ from scratch. This is a fantastic opportunity, that will naturally also require some work e.g. interviewing people.
