This room for hire is about 21 square meters in size. It is, admittedly, looking a tad sad at the moment due to a lack of furnishment (see pictures 1 and 2), but I can attest that it has potential.
More generally, the flat also has an entry room (picture 3), a kitchen (picture 4), and a bathroom (picture 5). These are common spaces and you can obviously use them as you please at all times.
Lastly, there are also two rooms comparable in size to yours. These are not common spaces, but rather, it is where your future flatmates will live. One of them is me (Robert) who is currently writing this. The other room actually also needs a new tenant, but I can not start looking for one until next month. We therefore have some time to discuss this together, in case you have any particular preferences or opinions on the matter.
The flat is located about 600 meters southeast of the Hauptbahnhof. In case you are new to the city, this places you in the southern parts of central Tübingen, with reasonable walking distance to most things. But if you work in the outskirts of town (e.g., Lustnau, Max-Planck-Ring, etc) you might still wanna invest in a bus card (or at least some really comfortable walking shoes).
Currently, I am living here. My name is Robert. I am currently finishing up my PhD in psychology here at Tübingen University, and then I’ll stay around to do a postdoc. In my free time i like to play guitar, sing, and read a lot of books. I actually added a picture of my room too (picture 6) so you can get a feel of how the flat actually looks with furniture in it.
I will begin looking for a third tenant next month. As alluded to previously, this is something we can discuss in further detail together.
Ideally, I am looking for someone who shares my interests in music or also works at the university, so that we can play guitar or talk science together if we are bored, for example. But ultimately, I am quite open to people so please do send me a response if you think you would enjoy living here.
The formal requirements are quite standard for apartments in Baden-Württemberg; we have to do the local „kehrwoche“ once a month or so (basically just taking out the paper recycling for the entire house), and we should not be too loud after 22:00 because it might bother our neighbors. Admittedly, the not-too-loud thing has never been a problem. Our neighbors are very reasonable people so you can probably throw all the parties you like.
I would prefer if you contact me with perhaps a written page about yourself as a person. What things do you like and dont like? What you do for a living? What you wanna be when you grow up? Or any other thing you feel might be important, I just wanna get a hunch of who you are as a person.
