We are looking for a new tenant to move in our wonderful flat from July on. The attic room is quite big (45m²) and basically a small apartment on its own, with a spacious living area and private bathroom. The only common spaces of the flat are the fully-equipped kitchen + entrance hall, which the three of us share and try to keep clean and tidy at all times. We are both quiet, international PhD students and speak German, but it would be nice if the person who moves in also speaks English. Since we will both move out probably soon-ish, we would ideally like to have a person who is interested in a longer stay (that is, at least 2 years), but are relatively flexible. Also, the landlords would prefer somebody who speaks at least a little bit of German.
The location is amazing, very central and right in front of the Neckar - trust me, “wonderful” is definitely not an overstatement here! Although the location is quite central, it is pretty quiet at night. The Neckarbrücke is only a five-minute walk away - for those who don't know Tübingen yet, you can get almost anywhere with the bus from there.
We value having a pleasant, friendly atmosphere at home. Since we are a couple and both close to the finishing line of our PhDs, we mostly keep to ourselves - but that doesn't mean we don't enjoy a nice chit-chat in the kitchen or doing stuff together from time to time :) Although we don't have a cleaning schedule, we value cleanliness and organization a lot. We are also considerate of each other's quiet hours and like to have clear communication.
The rent (warm) is 500 Euro per month. This includes everything, including internet, electricity and Rundfunkbeitrag. The room will be left partially furnished by our current flatmate (for a fee) and an earlier move-in date may also be arranged.
