Hello prospective new housemate,
We, Barbara and Anna, are looking for a new housemate, starting May 1st. Unfortunately, our current housemate Sasha is leaving our shared apartment for a more glamourous life in Saarbrücken, Germany. Fortunately, she promised to bring us back some of it in occasional visits.
WHO?
Barbara is an avid table tennis player, animal lover and hoarder of philosophy books. Only right and proper, as she is doing a PhD in Philosophy at UU since September.
Anna likes to eat what Barbara and Sasha cook. Also, she will try to persuade you to sing, go bouldering or go for a bike tour together. She is doing a PhD in Computer Science at UU since August.
WHAT to expect?
Currently, the three of us are working from home. More often than not, we eat lunch and dinner together, go for a walk, and spend evenings together playing board games, contemplating life and drinking wine or beer from either Jumbo or Albert Hijn across the road.
We would enjoy living with someone who wouldn’t be a stranger and would join us in some of these activities – but, of course, we also respect each other’s need for alone time.
We like to keep our apartment clean and tidy and hope that you feel the same way.
ROOM?
Hopefully descriptive enough via the pictures. It fits a desk and a normal sized bed. If you are interested, Sasha is happy to hand over some of the furniture for a few euros (any subset of: bookcase, chest of drawers, clothes rack, single bed with mattress).
Our big kitchen/living room area more than makes up for the smaller room size. The apartment is centrally located in the Museumkwartier on the south side of the inner canal, 10 minutes on foot from the Dom and less than 10 minutes by bike from Utrecht Centraal.
