My room, with approximately 20 square meters, is the largest bedroom in the shared apartment and has 3 windows, two of which are slanted. Consequently, a lot of light comes in, and when it rains, you can hear the patter of raindrops, which sounds very beautiful. It is the only room in the apartment that faces the courtyard and is therefore very well protected from noise. With its many plants, it feels like a little oasis. I would be incredibly grateful if you could take care of my plants (just watering them a little once a week).
Since I'm only subletting my beloved room, I would leave all the furniture and most of my personal belongings inside. Of course, I would clear out the wardrobe and some shelf space so you can also settle in here. We can discuss the details later. :)
The rent for the room, including utilities, is 500 euros, and the security deposit is 1500 euros. All of this will be documented in a written contract. :)
Please note: the room is only available for subletting from July 1st to November 21st, 2024. Not earlier and not later, and for the entire period (so not just for 2 months).

Our shared apartment couldn't be better located. It is situated in the 2nd district, about a 3-minute walk from Nestroyplatz U1. The Zirkusgasse is very peaceful. The Prater, the Augarten, and the Donaukanal (Schwedenplatz) are all within walking distance from our place. You are well connected by the U1 Nestroyplatz and the U2 Taborstraße. With a bike, you can reach the Donauinsel in just 10 minutes, where you can spend quality time in the summer.
Opposite our apartment is a Hofer (the best!). So, you can calmly bring your pasta water to a boil while quickly dashing to Hofer to grab some tomato sauce. Also nearby are Billa, DM, Bipa, pharmacies, and Asian supermarkets. We have some lovely cafes and bars in our neighborhood as well.

In our shared apartment live the best people! Hence, I am just temporary loaning my dear roommates. I want them back once I return :D
Starting from the youngest to the oldest:
Iris (22) is our youngest and is pursuing a Master's degree in Journalism. She also works for the Kleine Zeitung in Styria and often travels there for a few days a week. Since she only moved to Vienna in September, she always enjoys exploring the city together and is open to joint activities.
Anton (25) is studying for a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning. He loves bouldering, analog photography, or making music. You can often find him on the rooftop terrace.
Valeska (27) - that's me. I'm in my 4th year studying Veterinary Medicine and will be going to South Africa for about 5 months to complete my clinical rotations. I am a very cheerful person who likes to express herself through art (painting, beadwork, photography) and dance. I'm passionate about conservation and aspire to become a wildlife veterinarian in the future.
Vipul (28) works as an IT consultant and co-runs a startup company with a friend, which builds indoor growing towers for edible herbs (for more details, you'll have to ask him). Vipul enjoys reading intellectual literature in the morning on the rooftop terrace and goes out frequently on weekends. I hardly know anyone else who has his work-life balance as well managed as he does. So, if you want to experience the nightlife in Vienna, it's best to hang out with Vipul.
Johannes (30) is our eldest. He is the main tenant and works in management consulting. Since he works a lot, he enjoys sports or spending time with his girlfriend as a balance. Johannes is great for having coffee chats in the kitchen.
We are a very close-knit household and enjoy doing things together frequently. Most of the time, it happens spontaneously, but we also organise joint activities occasionally. Since we still keep in touch with previous roommates, we often have visits from our extended WG family. We are a very welcoming community, so new friends and guests are always welcome. We can talk about anything, and we always find a solution. Mutual respect and mindful cohabitation are just part of our everyday life. We speak English and German in the apartment.
There is a cleaning schedule which rotates weekly. So, each roommate is responsible for cleaning the entire apartment, doing the household shopping, and taking out the trash every 5 weeks. Generally, everyone has their own food. However, we share some basic groceries (e.g. spices, oil, onions, garlic, etc.) and of course, cleaning supplies and household items (e.g., when new dishes need to be bought). With their rent, everyone pays a monthly fee of 10 euros. So, if someone buys something for the household during the month, we enter the expenses into an app ("Splid"), and at the end of the month, the money for household purchases is transferred back to their private account. These 10 euros are already included in the 500 euros rent for my room.
We also have WiFi and various routers distributed throughout the apartment. So, everyone truly has good internet.
Now to you:
Tell us about yourself and what is important to you in a shared home. We look forward to hearing from you :)

Layout of the apartment (135 sqm living space):
- a separate toilet
- a bathroom with toilet, shower, and bathtub
- a large combined kitchen/ living room with oven, stove, microwave, 2 refrigerators, toaster, coffee machine, various kitchen appliances
- living room (part of the combined kitchen/ living room) has a large L-shaped sofa and a huge flat-screen TV
- 5 bedrooms
- additionally, an approximately 50 sqm rooftop terrace
Our apartment is on the very top floor and has an approximately 50 sqm rooftop terrace. That is probably one of our treasures. The terrace was renovated at the beginning of March and now looks really stylish. We enjoy spending time up there in the sun and have already hosted a few gatherings and parties.
Below our apartment is a very friendly 6-person shared apartment with whom we are friends and enjoy doing things together. The other residents of the building are otherwise very relaxed.
There is a small courtyard on the ground floor where you can lock your bike if you can still find a spot.
Another highlight is probably the elevator, which goes up to our living room and is operated with a personal key, so that no stranger enters the apartment.
