Welcome dear flatseekers,
We, Anca & Chris, friends and current roommates, are founding this new flatshare in the heart of the 7. district. Unfortunately we could'nt stay in our old home, that's why we took matter in our own hands. So we found this Jugendstil beauty (For the architecture geeks among you: it was Arnold Heymann's last work in 1913). As you can see the flat is quite empty, but since our current WG is resolved, we have some stuff we take with us like most of the kitchen inventory. Since there is no living room persé, our plans are to transform the landing area in something likewise. Together with our new roommates, we want to create this space into an oasis of relaxation, gusto and overall good vibes.
The whole flat is equipped with herringbone flooring (Fischgrätenparkett) and in the kitchen still conserves the beautiful original tiles. The kitchen already comes with a gas stove and a dishwasher. All the rooms can be entered separately. A balcony just in front of the main entrance is shared with our next door neighbors.
It might not be the biggest room but it's the most quiet room of the flat because it's heading to the court. In order to save some space inside your room, there will be a shelf in the hallway where you can store some of your personal belongings. And don't worry if you're not a fan of the early 20th century wallpaper, we can just paint over it ;)
There's really nothing missing: right next door to us is a Spar. If you're fit you can get to the Bim (5) station in under 20 seconds. An asia shop is around the corner as well as an organic store. Whatever your heart - or your stomach - desires you'll find it! Since all the bars and cafés are situated in the neighboring streets and due to the relatively low traffic, the flat remains fairly silent.
Since both of us recently moved to Austria, it's important to us that our flat is not just a place to crash but actually is home to us. This includes lovely chats among each-other, popping some good beers and celebrating little life moments with each other. We really enjoy each others company but also respect the time we need for ourselves. The flat should be a place were everyone feels at ease. Live and let live.
Anca is currently finishing her master thesis at Boku and will subsequently start a phd program. Besides being the biggest fungus enthusiast the world has ever seen, she's taking care of all the plants and keeps the flat green. She rarely lacks of energy and is a great person to deep talk about a variety of stuff.
Chris as well is currently finishing his master at the film academy and besides his studies, works in film. An easy-going guy than can be sometimes introvert, sometimes outgoing. His interests range from visual art to martial art, as well as stargazing in summer nights. He recently discovered aperol spritz as his new go-to drink. Since he has a projector, Chris will often host movie nights in his room.
Since both of us are working, we're looking for a person which is at a similar stage in life and has already gained some experience in sharing a flat.
Anca will be traveling from August to September, so during that time a short time tenant will take over her room.
At the moment there is not a fixed "Ablöse" because we still have to find out what will be missing. But there will be definitely some small costs that will come up of things we wanna buy collectively.
So if these few lines sparked some interest, we're looking forward to hear from you :)
