***ENGLISH VERSION BELOW***
Erik bereichert erst seit kurzem unsere WG.
***ENGLISH***
ROOM
Your room would have approx. 23 square meters, 2 large windows facing the street and is therefore nice and bright. At the same time, the sun does not shine directly in (north) so that you can even survive the Viennese summer in your room. :)
The windows face Burggasse and since we live right on the corner of the Gürtel, you might not necessarily have the lightest sleep. But you can hardly hear anything when the windows are closed.
We all have super nice parquet flooring and the classic high old building walls.
The room belongs to Maike, who is doing an Erasmus in Sweden for the summer semester. The furniture will all stay in the room, so all you have to do is pack your suitcase, get on the train and feel right at home ;)
We have two fully equipped bathrooms, which is super practical, especially in the mornings or at parties. The bathrooms are both super nice and modern.
Our kitchen is relatively small, but very nice. It looks out onto the inner courtyard and balcony and is very bright and quiet. It's actually the central place where everything happens and where we always meet up. Except in summer, of course, when we wander out onto our beloved huge balcony.
Now for our highlight: the balcony, which is actually almost a terrace. You can sit outside in the mornings and afternoons, but it's particularly hot at lunchtime.
In summer, it's great for barbecues and pre-drinking evenings, with the added bonus that our neighbors are all students, so no one has ever complained. It's also so big that nothing stands in the way of legendary beer pong tournaments. In winter, it turns into a huge fridge.
LOCATION
The location is brilliant. It may be the last corner of the 7th district, but we have all the connections you need.
The U6 underground line and the 48A bus are practically on our doorstep. The bus takes you to the Volkstheater (U3) and the Museumsquartier in less than 7 minutes. Unfortunately, the U2 is currently being rebuilt, so it is closed at the Volkstheater. You have to take the streetcar line to Schottentor, but it works very well.
At the same time, we have all kinds of shopping opportunities in the area. Starting with Lugner City, where you can find everything (post office, H&M, McFit, cinema, pharmacy, etc.). Then we have a Spar, Denns, Hofer and everything else your heart desires just a 5-minute walk away.
And of course we are in the 7th district, so our street is bursting with cafes and bars, which we love! One street further we have our local Italian restaurant with great wine and antipasti. Otherwise, it's just a few minutes' walk to Neubaugasse, where you'll find everything from commercial to super alternative. Of course, there's also a bus down the street, so you can be at your favorite café quickly or head straight into the city center :-)
SHARING LIVES
Your new flatmates are Sophie and Erik.
Sophie is 26, has been living in Vienna since the beginning of the year and has been in our shared flat since May. She travels a lot during the week due to her PhD and sports (ultimate frisbee and lacrosse), but is always available for movie, cooking and game nights or spontaneous parties. She always has an open ear and can often be found on the balcony in summer.
Erik has only recently joined our shared flat. He is 25 and moved to Vienna in October to do his Master's in Business Administration. He has a passion for good coffee, likes to go cycling on the Donauinsel or to the gym and otherwise spends a lot of time with friends. He has promised to live out his green thumb on the balcony in summer so that we hardly have to go shopping at all.
We are all friends and enjoy spending time together, which is something we would also like for our future flatmate. Be it cooking/drinking evenings together, barbecues, playing cards or even a flat share party. In short: we just want to enjoy our time together :-) At the same time, we are all studying/working, so we have a lot of understanding for stressful times and also make sure that the noise level is kept low during the week so that everyone can concentrate on their own things. It's always super harmonious and friendly in the shared flat itself.
We would like an open-minded person who is not interested in a functional shared flat. We've always had a lot going on here, we often have friends over and have also enjoyed pre-dinner/cooking evenings, which we'd like to keep up. At the same time, we all have to get up early during the week and often on weekends too, so it would be an advantage if you had a similar daily rhythm.
Well, that's probably the basics, but of course there's sooo much more to tell. So if you're interested and would like to find out more, feel free to send us a message. Then we can meet for a coffee/spritz at our place and see if it could be a good fit :-)
