We have a furnished short-term room until the end of June. For July ad August there might be a different room available in the flat if you're looking for something longer. If you come to spend some time in Vienna we can give you a cosy home to make you feel like home and have a great time in the city. Plus: everybody will be jealous of your flat ;-)
THE FLAT:
The flat is on the 3rd and 4th floor (= top floor) of the building (but no elevator, sorry) and has about 130m² on two floors with 4 seperate rooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a big, sunny living room (with piano, mini-bar, beamer, ...) and on the third floor we have a huge private rooftop terrace (70qm) with plants, an awesome view, chillout-area and panorama bar :-)
THE ROOM:
The room is on the second floor of the flat. The way to your room is actually over a bridge, which is pretty awesome :D You share the upstairs bathroom with Ana, but you can also use the one downstairs of course. The room is 15m² + huge walk-in closet in an extra room which is only for you. The room is fully furnished with a boxspring bed (1.40m), a desk, a nice little chillout area, your private tv with Firestick and the walk-in closet/storage area (my stuff is in there but there's still plenty of space for your stuff). There are also bedsheets and towels. So you can just move in with your suitcase :-) If you need anything else, we are happy to help you. Also the common areas are pretty big and of course you can use the whole space.
you can get everywhere easily and fast from here, the tram (52, 60) is right in front of the house
We live close to the big trainstation Westbahnhof (8 min walking distance or 2 tram stops) where you have U6 & U3, a lot of trams (5, 6, 9, 18, 49), busses and of course trains :-). There is another metro stop even closer (Gumpendorfer Straße - 5 min walking distance), so you can move around the city easily and quickly.
There are plenty of supermarkets (Arabic supermarkets, Billa, Spar, Penny) and a bakery in the neighbourhood.
We often have guests (friends, family,...) but some of us are also traveling pretty much due to work & family so there's both lively and quiet times in this house and everybody can get their space and alone time, of course. Sometimes you will have the flat (almost) for yourself, especially during the weekends.
You are always welcome to join any activity. There are dinner parties, movie nights (there is a projector in the living room) or everybody just hangs out in the living room.
FLATMATES:
At the moment Georg (28), Tereza (28) and Ana (27) are living in the flat, waiting for someone to join!
Georg is from Upper Austria, he is a tour manager for various bands (from Pop to Techno), so he is usually on the road a lot. When he is home, he loves cooking and he loves even more when there are people he can cook for. He is an expert on traditional Austrian dishes, so expect good food! :-) The deal is: he cooks, we eat :D
Tereza from Kosice, eastern Slovakia, is doing her Master's in Social Design and Urban Innovation at Angewandte. At the same time she is working on city and inclusivity projects, shooting videos for NGOs and having her own graphic design studio with a creative team of people with disabilities in Slovakia. She studied special education in Warsaw and documentary film directing in Bratislava and is quite busy as you can imagine from her bio :D but she also loves to hang out with everyone in the living room and have some tea, deep conversation or watch a movie together!
Ana from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, just moved in with us in March. She is doing climate-related projects at the United Nations Office in Vienna and is very passionate about forest conservation. She is a very happy personality and is a polyglot just like Tereza. Together they pretty much cover all the Slavic and Romance languages :D
CLEANING:
We are a lot of people and everybody wants to use the kitchen please 🙏 so the rule is: Everybody cleans up after themselves. Please keep everything tidy, don't leave your dishes and clean right away after cooking/eating (there is a dishwasher). Also, everybody is requested to clean something in the flat every week. So you would clean your bathroom every second week (as you share it with one person) + either kitchen/floor/living room/taking out the trash every week.
No smoking in the flat, just on the terrace.
RENT:
The rent is all in - it includes everything you need and of course you can use everything (wifi, dishwasher, steam cooker, washing machine, printer, piano, beamer ...). Also some vegetables we get delivered every other week from a local farmer. You can use them to cook or Georg cooks them for everyone ;-)
