We are setting up a new flatshare and looking for 3 lovely people to live with.
We will stay in two of the 4 rooms; which rooms is still up for discussion, and depends on where you'd prefer to stay. :)
The rooms are partially or fully furnished, and furniture can be taken over (price to be discussed with previous flatmate).
Room 1 (taken)
Room 2 (14 m², 476 €)
This practical and comfortable room fits everything important. The room receives sun in the morning, and the window faces the nice green yard. Some furniture is for sale, including the comfy bed.
Room 3 (14.8 m², 481 €)
A bright room with a lovely view into a very green and quiet inner courtyard, the maple tree on the left will be your companion throughout the seasons. Most furniture is for sale. This room has a creative spirit and it is apparently very suitable for pandemic thesis writing.
Room 4 (18.7 m², 502 €)
This spacious room can house two people, or one person and an unhealthy collection of something (board games, for example). Most furniture is for sale, including a comfy double-bed, big fat wardrobe, desk, wheely chair and a Poäng chair (red) with an extension for putting your legs up (because we both know that you deserve it). The window faces the street (Pyrkergasse) which is a quiet side street.
Common areas
The generous common spaces include a large living room with a comfy grey seating set and an actionable kitchen with all appliances you need (plus a wine fridge!). Your new favourite place for inviting friends
(over), playing board games, and movie nights. There is also access to a private cellar and a common bike storage. And the very green inner yard with birds and squirrels.
You are going to love the bathroom situation. One shower room with a sink, one small bathroom with a toilet and a sink and one large bathroom with a whirlpool (two modes of lighting and four modes of bubbles, shower head and massage jets, fits two if desired), toilet and two sinks with a large mirror above for communal teeth-brushing.
Super practical for a group of four!
Location:
Pykergasse, 1190 Wien. 1 minute from the 37 tram stop Pokornygasse, which takes you to Schottentor (Uni Wien) in 14 minutes; 5 minutes from Barawitzkagasse/Hohe Warte (buses 10A and 39A). Both Heiligenstadt (U4) and Spittelau (U4, U6) are conveniently reachable, either by tram/bus or 12-15 minutes walking. BOKU is a 20 min walk or 10 min bike ride away.
Groceries:
SPAR gourmet, BIPA, a family-owned bakery and a bank (2 minutes);
BILLA, dm and a pharmacy (5 minutes).
Others:
There are two very nice parks (Wertheimsteinpark, Setagaya Park) nearby, as well as various restaurants and several jogging destinations (e.g., Donaukanal, Türkenschanzpark).
We are a postdoc and PhD student at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. Our main language is English, though we'd be happy to practice some German as well ;)
Previously, the inhabitants were an interesting bunch of students, postdocs and graduates of ISTA and BOKU. A new WG member could look forward to common meals, evening discussions, film nights, and having a friend just a knock-on-the-door away. Occasionally we also played music and sang together, though we respect each other's schedules and routines, so don't feel unwelcome if you are the quiet type either!
Since we have three more spare rooms, friends and couples are also welcome to join in.
The utility costs (including energy and internet) are not fixed, and can fluctuate from year to year. They have totalled around 180 € in the last few years, and are split evenly, which would amount to approximately 45 € per person per month.
