Hi there :)
You're looking at my large, sun filled, spacious room in a comfortable yet roomy flat in the 16th district. The bedroom is large enough to fit in everything you could ever need, with the additional option of a loft bed possible due to the high ceilings. I was never able to fully fill the space but it cannot be underestimated how handy it can be if you have friends over to stay or something of the sort! :) Two large windows beckon the sun in throughout the day and also provide adequate ventilation throughout the summer months. Two radiators also keep the room nice and cosy during the winter. The room is quiet from day to night which is perhaps a nice advantage of the thick walls accustomed with an altbau :)
The kitchen isn't the oldest nor the newest, yet it is more than suitable, with all of the utensils you can imagine at your disposal. There's a table in the kitchen which is often the point of center when guests arrive :)
There are also two bathrooms. The one in the picture is the largest and equipped sufficiently, including a washing machine. The second bathroom is just a separate toilet with a basin. As a result, it's almost impossible to collide when it comes to using the bathroom!
Lastly, there is another room which will be used as a dining/study space, which you're welcome to use as well!
Although positioned in the 16th district, I believe the location to be one of the best available if you are looking for something slightly away from the center, yet still easily accessible. Both the U3 line, trams 46 (Volkstheater) and 44 (Schottentor) are within a five minute walk. Westbahnhof is only 10-20 minutes by U-Bahn depending on whether you're fortunate or not with times. Most common universities are also within a 20-30 minute via tram or underground. The Gürtel, for example, can be reached within 10-15 minutes via either the 44 or 46. The trams 2 and 10 (Schönbrunn) are only a couple minutes walk from the doorstep too.
If you're like me and your potential future flatmate and have a car, then you're in luck! The parking is very good around the block.
Within 300m-700m there are three Spars, two Billa's, a Hofer, and three or four bakeries (I lose count!). Amongst all of that, there are countless Kebap and food stands either directly outside of the underground station or within a 2-3 minute walk up to Wilheimnenstraße.
I (Sam) am moving out and you will be living with Barbora (30) who studies alongside working. She is from Slovakia, a great laugh and a kind person, who I will miss living with. She's also an incredible cook and when we've found time, we've eaten together. She is always available for a discussion on a range of topics if you so please, but of course privacy is absolutely respected too. I will also miss her fantastic dog, Leia (king charles cavalier), who is so well behaved and quiet you'd barely notice she's ever there (we've trod on her a few times by accident!). Barbara often takes trips back to Slovakia and is generally a busy person. As a result, you'll most likely found yourself alone with the flat on a frequent basis :)
Please send us a message through this page with some about information about you and I'll respond as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading this and we look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you soon! :)
