Coming to Berlin soon? With our italian flat-mate currently stranded in India, we offer a small furnished room in a great neighborhood, for temporary rent. Not for tourists. Ideal for somebody moving to Berlin, as a base to look for a permanent home.
The quoted price is the monthly price. Moving in a few days earlier could be an option. Maybe also staying longer. It's also OK for couples, or possibly even if you come with kids.
This shared flat is in the heart of beautiful Friedrichshain. Lively Warschauer Straße and Boxhagener Platz are just two blocks down. The apartment is on green and quiet Comeniusplatz square, with a nice park, some cafés and a supermarket. You'll love the location. Your room is very small, but offers two double beds and a view into the green backyard. The kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and the roof terrace are shared.
You have your own bedroom. We will share the rest of the flat:
- living room with attached kitchen with all the stuff that define a kitchen (please note that we ask you not to bring any meat into the apartment)
- roof terrace (the only place where smoking is allowed)
- two bathrooms.
Depending how travel restrictions develop, in parts of May you may be the only one using the apartment.
The address is: Am Comeniusplatz 4, 10243 Berlin. The apartment is on the top floors of the back building (so you need to walk through the front building and the backyard, then walk up inside the back building). There is no lift, sorry!

The apartment is cozy and colorful, but still a bit work in progress, so hopefully you don't mind a bit of chaos. Think boxes full of books in the corner :-)
Your bedroom is very small. We've sometimes rented it on AirBnB in the past. It's a perfect base to sleep, or to look for a permanent place. The city offers so much to discover, and the flat is cozy and charming, with a nice view into the green backyard (squirrels often come by for a visit).
I'm mostly abroad during the week, for work, but fly in on tmost weekends. Sometimes my Bosnian wife and our little son will accompany me.
We have an Italian flat-mate, but she is currently staying in an ashram in India, not sure yet for how long.
You are welcome to use the apartment's equipment: Wi-Fi, kitchen ware, washing machine. There is no TV. If you cook, please do the dishes afterward.
PLEASE ...
- Please be nice and considerate towards our neighbors.
- The apartment is vegetarian, so we ask you not to bring any meat or meat products. (There is a vegan supermarket around the corner, a great place to stock up on tofu sausages!). Eggs and dairy products are OK.
- We ask everybody to take off their shoes.
- Smoking is only permitted on the roof terrace.
- Let's do our share to save the planet (and money): Please help saving energy and water. So please don't turn the heating on and open the windows at the same time, and turn the lights off when leaving a room.
