We are leaving our apartment at the end of July and looking for people who may want to take it off of our hands. Your contract would begin 1st August at the earliest. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, kitchen and lounge (together in one large room), bathroom (with two sinks, large bath, & shower). We have some furniture we would be willing to sell at a cheap price if you need it (including sofa, coffee table, washing machine, fridge, kitchen stools, projector, etc etc). The apartment has been renovated in the last 3 years. It is by no means perfect: Some of the light switches control lights they perhaps shouldn't and, being ground floor, in summer it is often humid. The housing agency also intend on carrying out works on the building which may or may not affect you, depending on what work takes place. Lastly, the entrance is slightly hidden with the mail box by the front door which postal services don't always seem to be aware of, so sometimes post takes longer to arrive or goes missing entirely - your best bet is to have deliveries sent to a work address. If you can overlook those things, the location is amazing and it's not so expensive for the area. Please note, rent is set to increase mid-next year by 200 euro, and there is likely to be a small increase when you take over the contract.
Two of the bedrooms are larger (around 13 sq m) whilst one is smaller (around 9 sq m). There are no pictures of rooms because unfortunately they're still full of the current tenant's stuff.
Despite some of the above the apartment is actually very nice for Berlin. We are holding an open viewing on Thursday 7th July, 7-10pm. Just show up and take a look around.
2 minutes from Hermannplatz U Bahn station and also not far from Schoenlein Str U Bahn. Basically in the epicentre of KreuzKoelln. Bus stops M41, M29, 194 and 171 very close by. Gyms, supermarkets, bars and restaurants all super close.
We will forward your details onto the housing agency so PLEASE ensure you have all necessary documents ready (preferably scanned). These are - 3 months worth of payslips, Schufa (request now) , Rent arrears freedom document (Mietschuldenfreiheitsbescheinigung), and copy of ID/passport.
The current tenants are all pretty busy people so please try to save any questions you may have until the open viewing. Likewise, if you are a single person looking to rent a place we are not really able to help pair you up with other potential renters. Better you come along to the viewing and ask about there. :)
