The room that you will sublet, is:
-bright: with direct sunlight in the morning,
-away from the other bedrooms: so you can respectfully watch a film/listen to music late at night on my big smart TV.
-full of amazing plants: that I will kindly ask you to take care of
-a very nice carpet that I bought myself and take pride in, so NO SHOES IN THE BEDROOM, or anywhere in the flat actually :)
-beautifully decorated: it took me months, but I finally feel it as my own.
-but also has all my stuff inside: so I would need you to take care and respect my privacy. This is also the reason I need to ask for a deposit. Of course I will empty some drawers, etc, so you will have space for your own stuff.
The flat is located on Karl-Marx-Strasse, 2 mins walking from U-Bahn Rathaus Neukolln (U7).
Hello beautiful people!
Before I introduce myself, I just want to mention the 6 rules to save everyone time.
1. Meat-eating inside the flat is NOT allowed!
This is a vegetarian flat. You don't need to be a vegetarian, I'm not either, but you can't eat/bring meat (or fish) in the flat.
2. Smoking is allowed!
In the common areas (kitchen/living room) and your own bedroom. I'm also a smoker. But if you have a problem with people smoking in the common rooms, this is not the right flat for you.
3. No dog allergies!
Once or twice per week, a friend might stay over in the living room, where we have a bed for guests. She has a very sweet small dog, named Erin, that follows her everywhere. SO unfortunately we can't accept people with dog allergies.
4. Be clean and help the apartment stay clean!
We have a weekly cleaning schedule: every week each person is responsible for cleaning one common room.
5. Be nice!
Communication is the key. Whatever problem may arise between us, we just calmy talk about it and resolve it. Because we are not just flat mates, but in essence a family.
6. NO RACISM, SEXISM, HOMOPHOBIA, OR ANY KIND OF HATE TOWARDS ANYONE!
We believe that everyone is equal and deserving of love...except for fascists!
Finally, not a rule, for you it's optional, but in general we share everything in the kitchen!
You don't need to eat only what you buy, but you need to buy, what you eat!
Which means you can eat food that others bought/cooked, but you should replace it next time you go to the supermarket.
Of course, if you buy something special/expensive that you want to keep for your self, you're free to put a label with your name on it and no one will touch it. Also if you don't want to share anything from the start, we respect it and will assign a place in the fridge and cupboards, that you can keep your own stuff.
If you read so far and agree with the house rules, let me introduce ourselves:
My name is Nikos, I'm 29 years old, from Athens, Greece. I am currently doing my master's at the university of Potsdam and since I don't have any classes, I will finally visit my friends and family in Athens for three weeks. Hope the weather will be good, so I can still enjoy the beach!
So I'm offering my room for these three weeks only.
The other flat mates are:
Stelios, another Greek, who is a pianist-soloist.
Agnese, from Italy, who's currently doing the impossible: learning German.
and Judith, the veteran of the WG and a true Berliner, who is a social worker.
In this flat, first and foremost we respect and care for each other. Sometimes we cook together, some times we watch films in the living room, most times we are in our own rooms, doing our own stuff, but always happy to chat on the way to the bathroom, or while we make coffee in the kitchen. This is not a party flat, but as long as we don't disturb others, we are free to have few friends over to hang out over some beers.
The flat is :
-big enough for four people, with
-a very big living room, through which the entrance to your bedroom will be,
-a big kitchen,
-one bathroom and one WC.
So if you feel like you would be a good fit for us and we for you, send me an email, introduce yourself and ask any questions that come to mind, then I can send you more pictures of the flat and we can set up a meeting as soon as possible.
