Hey! My name's Ana, I'm leaving my room in Eppelheim, my Erasmus exchange being over. The rent (Warmmiete) is 505€ per month.
This is a flatshare with 3 other lovely german students, in a lovely little town near Heidelberg. I really loved living here, the room is really comfortable, my highlight being the big balcony, perfect to chill in the sun, talk with your flatmates, or drink a coffee/tea in the morning (also watch wonderful sunsets) 🌞
The room is the most spacious i've been in as a student, very bright (it's facing south), and warm.
It's located in the south of Eppelheim, just near the fields where you can take a walk to relax and be near nature (There's also a strawberry field where you can steal them -but i didn't tell you that ;) ) 🍓
You're 5 minutes away from a cheap supermarket (Edeka), 10 minutes away from the tram station (line 22 that goes in the center of Heidelberg in 20mn), 30mn from the Heidelberg University by bike. The way to get there is pretty and safe :)🌱
If you're a person who likes calm and recharge your batteries in nature, this is the perfect place. It's amazing to be able to live in the near-countryside as a student, and still be able to go out whenever you want to 🌳
The flatshare is not a "Ziel-WG" , we get along with each other well and we often meet in the kitchen or on the balcony to talk and drink tea, or go walking in the fields together. We organize the cleaning with a plan that works most of the time ;) Of course, communication is key and everybody is ready to discuss if needed!
Open-mindedness here is also very important 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ !! Hate in all its form will absolutely not be tolerated, this flat is a very cool safe place with lovely queer people that will respect and listen to you if you need to, they obviously deserve the same respect :)
In the room, there's a desk and desk chair, a shelf, a wardrobe, and stools. There's also all the furniture on the balcony: several tables, a really comfortable armchair, chairs and other stools. 🪑
The kitchen is also very well equipped, with everything you need, even a dishwasher! Laundry is done with a shared washing machine in the basement.
The rental contract with the agency is for 2 years, BUT it is possible to leave earlier by paying a fee. That's what I did as an Erasmus student, and for me it's worth it for the comfort of living here!
You can easily park your bike outside the building if you have one, or put it in the basement. 🚲
