GER: Unsere WG liegt die Straße runter beim Goetheplatz (wo auch alle Stadtbusse fahren), also direkt in der Altstadt. Damit sind wir nur 2min vom Zentrum Weimars entfernt. Und die Unigebäude, der Bahnhof und alle Parks in 5min mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen, zu Fuß sind das etwa 10/15 min. Das Selbe gilt für Supermärkte und Drogerien.

ENG: Our shared flat is down the street from Goetheplatz (where all the city buses go), so it's right in the old town centre. This means we are only 2 minutes away from the centre of Weimar. And the university buildings, the train station and all the parks can be reached in 5 minutes by bike, on foot it's about 10/15 minutes. The same applies to supermarkets and drugstores.

GER: Sie werden mit 3 anderen Personen zusammenleben.

Henning kommt ursprünglich aus Hamburg und hat gerade seinen Bachelor in Architektur abgeschlossen. Obwohl er der Botschafter der Mensa ist, kocht er manchmal gerne für alle. Er macht eine ziemlich gute Carbonara.
Leonie, die seit letztem Jahr Urbanistik in Weimar studiert, kommt ursprünglich aus Regensburg, wo sie auch ihren Bachelor in Architektur gemacht hat. Sie kann super gut kochen, auch gemütliche Suppen, und Apfelstrudel!

Rachele ist ein super neues Mitglied in der WG. Sie ist für ein Erasmus-Programm aus Italien hier in Weimar. Sie hat immer sehr coole Geschichten beim Abendessen zu erzählen.
Bis jetzt ist das Leben in der WG sehr harmonisch und entspannt. Im Sommer frühstücken wir sonntags gemeinsam in unserem schönen Garten im Erdgeschoss. Und es gab immer wieder Zeiten, vor allem im Winter, in denen wir zusammen gekocht oder gebacken haben oder einen Kaffee oder ein Bier zusammen getrunken haben. Es ist wie eine Familie hier in Weimar, man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Manchmal sind wir auch zusammen in eine Kneipe gegangen, auf den Weihnachtsmarkt oder haben zusammen gefeiert. Trotzdem hat jeder seinen eigenen Rhythmus und man kann sich zurückziehen wie und wann man will :)

ENG:
You will live with 3 other people.


Henning is originally from Hamburg and just finished his bachelor's in Architecture. Although he is the ambassoder of mensa, he sometimes like to cook for eveyone. He makes a pretty good Carbonara.

Leonie, who has been studying urban studies in Weimar since last year, originally comes from Regensburg, where she also did her bachelor's degree in architecture. She can cook super well, including cozy soups, and Apfelstrudel!

Rachele is a super new member in the WG. She is here in Weimar from Italy for Erasmus. She always has very cool stories to share during dinner times.

So far, life in the flat has been very harmonious and relaxed. In summers, we have breakfast together on Sundays in our nice garden downstairs. And there were always times, especially in winter, when we cooked or baked together or drank a coffee or beer together. Its like family here in Weimar, so you will feel warmly welcomed. Also, sometimes we went to a bar together, to the Christmas market, or partied together. Nevertheless, each person has their own rhythm and you can withdraw how and when you want :)

GER: Zu unserer Wohnung gehört noch ein separater Raum, den wir als Abstellraum nutzen und liebevoll „Das Kabuff“ nennen. Dort kann auch geraucht werden. Unrenoviert wie der ist, kann man mit dem aber jegliches anfangen. Im Eingangsbereich im Erdgeschosses unseres Hauses könntest du dein Fahrrad geschützt abstellen. Und im Keller wäre noch Platz für sonstiges.

ENG: Our flat also has a separate room, which we use as a storage room and affectionately call "The Kabuff". You can also smoke there. Unrenovated as it is, you can do anything with it. You could park your bike safely in the entrance area on the ground floor of our house. And there would be room for other things in the basement.
