Hello! I offer my little room in our lovely shared flat in the Neustadt. Our landlord jokingly calls this the “penthouse suite,” as it is located on the highest floor and comes with really nice views of Neustadt and the sky. The room will be furnished with everything you need for your four month stay (bed, dresser, mirror) and you will find your wardrobe in the room across the hall. My favorite part of this room is the west-facing window, from which you can see the sunset perfectly. The rent for the room is €342 warm.
The location really couldn’t be better for public transport - located at the corner of Pappelstr and Langemarkstr, the bus stop is located directly in front of the apartment, and the tram stop right across the street. From these you have a myriad of options - buses 26, 27, 63, 101, 102, 121, and tram lines 1 and 8, and if these don’t suit your needs, there are plenty of options (the 6, 25, 4) still within walking distance.
Additionally, being located in one of the more lively areas of Neustadt, there are plenty of options for groceries, restaurants, bars, cafes, and more, while still maintaining a general sense of residential peace.
You will be moving in with 3 lovely roommates, all of whom are currently studying. Roberta, from Southern Germany, can often be found in the kitchen cooking hearty meals or fixing herself a cup of tea, both which she is always happy to share over a warm conversation. She is also our resident Ask-a-German, alongside Eva, who is half German and loves watching movies and drinking wine. If you are a connoisseur of either, you are certain to find good company with Eva. Both of these girls also kindly lend a helping hand with German administrative bull💩 and translations to myself and our last roommate, Gaurav. Gaurav is the longest resident of this house, always has a funny and interesting story to share, and is a very talented artist - you must check out his work while you’re here!
Altogether we have a very nice and comfortable lifestyle together. As the four of us have lived together for 2 years now, we are good friends and enjoy the time we spend together, and help each other out with whatever we can whenever we can. Although our busy and very different schedules don’t allow for much hang-out time outside of the WG, we often chat as we cook our meals or spend evenings co-working or conversing (or both) in our living room. However, as they are all students with busy schedules, no one is at all offended by anyone spending time alone or closing their door. Overall our roommate relationship is very friendly and relaxed, and I am certain you will enjoy their company as much as I do :)
