Mitbewohner:
Die wirst mit Niklas, Wanda, Constantin und Shevi zusammenwohnen.

TRANSLATION
Hello 😊 We are Niklas, Constantin, Wanda, Harissis and Shevi, and we are looking for flatmates for a newly founded, sociable, open-minded, tolerant, and cheerful 6-person flatshare (WG) in the housing project "Kompott".
The move-in date is flexible between now and December 1st.
A housing project is more than just a normal apartment building; it is all about communal, self-managed living. The rent is extremely affordable (4.20 €/sqm basic rent / Kaltmiete) because the project is strictly non-profit. The total rent per room, including electricity and internet, is currently estimated at around 185 Euros (though this is just an estimate for now).
We will have our own WG rooms and apartment, but we also share additional communal spaces with the other residents of the building. This includes a green inner courtyard with raised beds, workshops, and a garden that you are very welcome to help shape and maintain.
Downstairs in the building, there are also large commercial spaces for solidarity-based projects, such as the free shop "Ula" and the reading café "Odradek".
Altogether, about 25 people live in the Kompott housing project. You can find some extra info here: https://www.syndikat.org/kompott/
All decisions concerning the house are made together by consensus. This also means that everyone chips in from time to time—whether it’s with gardening, repairs, or organizing things. However, you can decide for yourself how much and where you would like to get involved.
So, if you move into our WG, you are not just renting a room to sleep in; you are becoming part of an open, creative, and solidarity-based network. You should definitely have a desire for community living and an active shared life!
THE ROOMS
The apartment consists of 6 single rooms, 2 bathrooms, and a shared eat-in kitchen.
The rooms are between 11m2 and 16m2 in size and all have a view of some greenery (facing either the apartment's garden and a small, quiet street, or the inner courtyard).
The actual WG apartment is not quite ready to move into yet—this will likely happen around early December. However, you can move into another vacant apartment in the building immediately, so you will definitely have a roof over your head right from the start.
THE LOCATION
The location is fantastic. The apartment is situated on the eastern edge of Schloßchemnitz and directly borders Kaßberg, which is arguably the most beautiful neighborhood in Chemnitz. The city center is close by, and the Schlossteich (castle pond) is just a 10-minute walk away. Despite being so centrally located, all the rooms in the flat are very quiet, as they do not face any major streets.
WG LIFE
We envision our flatshare to be easygoing and feel a bit like a family. We would love to do things together regularly, but we also enjoy just peacefully co-existing or chatting in the kitchen. We also think it would be nice to occasionally plan WG parties, murder mystery dinners, or small creative projects together.
At the same time, the flat—and especially your own room—will always remain a place to retreat to. It is entirely possible to get all the peace and privacy you need.
However, there will definitely be a cleaning schedule; maintaining a good level of tidiness and cleanliness in the shared rooms is very important to us.
Your Flatmates
You will be sharing the flat with Niklas, Wanda, Constantin, and Shevi.
Niklas (27) is currently training to become an educator. Before that, he trained as an alternative practitioner for psychotherapy, lived in a meditation center, and traveled around New Zealand. His hobbies tend to change quite often; right now, he is into road and gravel biking, salsa dancing, and gymnastics. He is also involved in a local techno collective.
Wanda (23) is new to Chemnitz and is starting her Master's in Clinical Psychology this semester. She enjoys being out and about, meeting up with friends to do things, or just having long conversations. She is really looking forward to exploring Chemnitz soon and having a great WG experience! :)
Constantin (24) just returned from a semester abroad in Bordeaux and is doing his Master's in Mathematics. He was born and raised in Chemnitz. He is currently looking for a working student job (and procrastinating on it quite a bit). Otherwise, he enjoys reading, doing yoga, being around people, loves deep talks, and rides his bike a lot.
Shevi (26) is moving from Turkey to Chemnitz in November for her Master's in Embedded Systems. She is social, open-minded, and loves spontaneous kitchen chats or going out together in the evenings. She is also a foodie and really enjoys cooking together or making food for others.
Harissis (24) recently finished his Bachelor's in Psychology in Dresden and is now starting his Master's in Clinical Psychology in Chemnitz. In his free time, he enjoys being out and about, going to the theater, musicals, or exhibitions, but he is just as happy sitting in a café with a good book. He loves to dance, especially to funk and soul, and really enjoys discussing literature and philosophy.
If all this sounds good to you, please send me a message and introduce yourself (feel free to be detailed)! 😊
Just to make sure you've read the text carefully, please tell me your favorite kind of tea in your message.
