Co-living is the kind of living that complies with the current zeitgeist. Young people live together in furnished flatshares of high standards. They support each other in being creative and realizing their ideas. The living area should inspire and enable further working. Co-living is a mix of flatshare and working group. Especially in Europe and America co-living is very popular and widespread. In a world where many people can work location-independent, co-living is the perfect, modern form of living.

Co-living enables a colorful, creative life

Co-living addresses especially self-employed persons, founders of start-up companies, young people who can work location-independent, creatives, people who love to travel a lot, so-called “urban nomads” or students. Living in co-living communities is very popular. Multiple furnished rooms in flatshares are located in big residential properties in central, urban locations. The very comfortable rooms are customized based on current design trends. There are modern kitchens and community rooms.

Additionally, the co-living properties are equipped with fitness areas, gardens, work spaces, pools, rooftop terraces, launderettes, yoga studios or libraries.

The inhabitants of co-living properties should feel good in order to be able to work inspired and to live creatively. Co-living is a useful mix of private and work life. The life in a co-living community is diversified. During the day, young enthusiastic people develop ideas on their laptops or discuss current topics of their work, in the evening they cook together or relax. Tomorrow a workshop will take place here, at the weekend there will be the next big party.

Sustainable housing and efficient use of resources

The rents for rooms in co-living properties are a bit higher but on the other hand they cover all costs: furniture, wireless network, electricity, gas, water and cleaning are usually included. Co-living is uncomplicated and offers people like exchange-students, interns or freelancers who work project-bound in different cities for a certain time, the possibility to rent a room just for a short time as well. It is possible to move in and out very fast.

Many people use the form of co-living. For many students from abroad and young professionals, co-living is an attractive, modern form of living as well, because this concept offers an ideal all-round care: rental agreements can be set for an individual space of time, high costs for furniture can be saved and getting in contact with other people very fast is guaranteed because of the close cohabitation. This is a plus for a large number of young people that are new to a city.

In a time where there are many well-educated people, more and more newly founded start-ups, increasing rents and inner-city traffic, the concept of co-living is very profitable. Inhabitants of a co-living community avoid stress and save time as well as space and energy day by day. They live a very sustainable lifestyle. They are open-minded and interested in getting to know other creative people and their visions or to work with them. It is important to inhabitants of co-living communities to support and motivate each other. In the best case they share common interests. Another advantage of co-living is the fact that the young creative residents are never alone, although they enjoy working hard and a lot.

Co-living is a modern and successful form of living together. The goal of co-living is to develop a worldwide network so that young people who want to work creatively, can feel like home, no matter where they are.
